Stems: erect with many spiny branches with prickles
Height: 1.5m shrub
Fruit: red succulent berries
Harvest: leaves are gathered all during summer and dried slowly
Healer use: Fruit is used to reduce anemia, rheumatism, and to treat kidney problems. Leaf tea is used in late pregnancy to tone uterine and pelvic muscles, and can reduce menstrual pain.
