All LOA/LIAs by those holding ranking personas must be announced with dates on the club forum.
If a member is LOA/LIA for two weeks of the RL month or less, he/she is required to meet half of the month's posting requirements or receive a warning.
LOA/LIAs for the last 10 days of the month must be approved by the Council as 'unavoidable' to have posting requirements waived for that month. Some acceptable reasons for 'unavoidable' are a death in the family or a major illness or other uncontrollable event. A planned move is _not_ an uncontrollable event and will not be considered in waiving requirements. A member who is going to be moving should plan to meet at least half of the month's requirements in the portion of the month present.
'Stress' LOA/LIAs are granted providing the member notifies the Council _before_ the unmet requirements warning is issued. During times of family changes (births/marriages), final exams, or overtime at work, special LIA may be granted. Members should always count school, work, and family responsibilities first, and should not let club duties get in the way of those. However, a member who requests more than six weeks of total stress LOA/LIA in a year's time may be requested to consider giving up some rank if he/she holds more than one ranking persona.
A member who is on LOA/LIA may not post for non-ranking personas until requirements are met by ranking personas. The only exceptions to this rule are coposts with other members. The Council reserves the right to issue a warning to any member who abuses the LOA/LIA rule simply to get out of posting requirements.
Any ranking member with an unmet requirement warning may not apply for new rank until that warning has been worked off (two months of meeting requirements).
