Weyrling Training Guide - Month 6

The last month of weyrlinghood has no more classes, only intense drills in preparation for Blooding. Weyrlings who were not weyrbred will be encouraged to explore all aspects of weyrlife before graduation, including sexual experience. On Threadfall days, all classes and drills are suspended.
Restdays

All schedules are for the first six days of each sevenday. Weyrlings are given a restday on the seventh day of each sevenday, unless Thread falls that day. Greens may begin to have their first mating flights during this month, but golds usually will not rise for a few months to as much as a turn after they reach full growth. If Thread falls on the restday, the Weyrlingmaster will designate an alternate restday for the sevenday. Weyrlings must attend to their dragonet's feedings, baths, and oilings on the restday, but the remainder of the time is free time.
Blooding

Blooding is the term used to refer to the frequency of Threadscore to weyrlings as they ferry firestone to the Fighting Wings during this month of training. Not all weyrlings survive the Blooding, and injuries from minor to serious are common. This is the month that causes many Weyrlingmasters to resign their posts, after seeing their charges not make it back from Threadfall. The weyrlings are Blooded at the first Threadfall once they've been assessed to be complete in the prior five months of training.
Month 6, Sevendays 1 to 4

During this month, the dragonet will eat approximately once per sevenday.

Daily Schedule:
6 c/m Wake, feed, bathe, and oil dragonet. On days the dragonet does not hunt, the weyrling can take the remainder as free time.
7 c/m Bathe, then breakfast
8 c/m Individual training drills to assess any areas missed in prior months of training. Wingleaders will be present to assess weyrlings along with the weyrlingstaff for promotion into the Fighting Wings.
12 c/m Lunch
13 c/m Continued Ropes Drills, including rider substitution during drills, formation changes, and /betweening/. Emphasis on firestone toss and catch in mid-air.
18 c/m Dinner
19 c/m After dinner chores by chore group: laundry, kitchen cleanup, assisting with dragoncare for injured/pregnant riders, craft areas (if weyrling was craft-trained)
20 c/m Free time. Can be used to explore the Weyr, if dragonet is agreeable (or sleeping). Studying is encouraged during free time.
22 c/m Lights Out
