Reports for Dragonsfall Weyr

March 25th 2019

Month 10 at Dragonsfall Weyr starts off with the addition of new life to the Weyr as Chioneth and Erdenth's clutch hatches, but it also starts off with tragedy as a green dragonet fails to find her lifemate and dies on the Sands.

Saibra and K'reyel deal with the fallout by leaning on one another, showing solidarity as they put on brave faces and greet their guests at the Hatching Feast. Saibra and her weyrmate, R'enh, however, argue after the Hatching when Saibra doesn't want to take the time to check on the two HADs (Hears all Dragons) that were present for the Hatching.

Lanniya and Saibra welcome Loella and her husband Karhal to the Weyr for the Hatching, hoping that Loella might have a pleasant experience so that Lanniya could help her develop her HAD abilities. The death of the green dragonet, however, had the opposite effect, and so R'enh escorted Loella and her husband home once the Hatching was over.

During the Hatching festivities, visiting Weyrwoman's Second, Kapera, from Dolphin Cove, visits with Saibra and offers her support after losing the dragonet. Kapera had a similar experience while Weyrwoman of Dragonsfall and finds the memory disturbing.

Rapids Wingleader, K'ran, who escorted Kapera to the Hatching, offers Saibra a brief respite from her duties during the Hatching Feast by taking her outside for some fresh air and a drink. The two converse regarding Saibra's daughter, Saidrene, who is secretly sleeping with K'ran, and Saibra assures K'ran that Dragonsfall misses the bronzerider's presence.

Late into the night, Saibra revisits the Hatching Sands and is met there by Dolphin Cove Weyrwoman Cyradis, who gives her former Wingsecond comfort and advice.

Erivana and K'yne come to a mutual agreement about pursuing parenthood. Pregnant from the flight she had with K'yne, Erivana decides to keep the baby and include the brownrider in the journey.

Temmin, Talerin, and Anndil face a terrifying "bump" in the night on one of their last nights as Candidates in the boys barracks. Turns out a tunnelsnake had found its way into the room. Luckily for Temmin and Anndil, Talerin stepped up to the challenge of killing the creature.

During the Hatching all three Candidates Impressed becoming, T'min, T'leri, and A'nir.

Greenrider Tarley pays a visit to her brother, Tyrael, in the infirmary after the Hatching. He was mauled by the green dragonet who could not find her lifemate. While she's visiting her bluerider Uncle, T'kev, shows up to check on his nephew. They discuss T'kev's drinking problem, but the bluerider doesn't seem ready to fix the problem yet.

After bronzerider J'ackt's stabbing at Dolphin Cove, Timassa arrives at Dragonsfall to inform K'yne that his son has been injured. The brownrider leaves with the greenrider.

D'hol shows up at Dragonsfall to visit with Weyrwoman Saibra, who is suspicious about his real reasons for visiting. The Dolphin Cove Wingleader insists that he's merely paying a visit. While at Dragonsfall, D'hol also visits with his eldest son, Ma'din. The two exchange words and blows, but part ways on good terms.

Saibra questions Ma'din about his father's visit, but Ma'din gives away no details. Ma'din leaves Saibra with a cryptic statement, that he might be transferring to Dolphin Cove in the future.

After all of the trouble that Ninaine has experienced with her mother and the support she has received from N'call, the greenrider decides to join the Weyrlingstaff since her dragon will not recover from her injuries and be able to rejoin a fighting Wing.

Benna and L'keri enter rocky territory as the brownrider complains about his diet and then the two find themselves in an argument that has unfortunate results.

Greenrider and wingthird, Rorela, corners former Weyrleader, and current Weyrlingmaster, G'nir, in his offices and lets him know in no uncertain terms that she won't continue chasing him, he'd better catch her, now!
