J'kri approached Harki and Rorela to get some help to arrange surprise to Paetri. They decide to go for new, nice dress for the weyrling greenrider. Rorela also shares her success with G'nir with Harki.
Genna has talked with Tavia and sat with her for dinner. Genna also convinces Paetri go to shopping for the approaching Hatching day. Genna also rans into Ninaine and the two don't get along. Both are hoping to Impress the gold egg and for Ninaine, there's no other options.
Ninaine meets N'call when she comes to see the eggs.
Ninaine also gets tangled up with Swift and Marli, G'wen, S'vin and Cardella try to help her but the candidate is too upset. Aluka and Ninaine spends some time doing candidate chores together. Ninaine also learns dragon washing while helping Talwynn.
When Paetri's green Camilth Rises, she has plenty of eager Chasers, Rademerth no less eager than the rest. But it's M'shan's brown Juth who manages to surprise the young green. J'kri ends up with another bluerider who lost that Flight, R'axe. Afterwards Peatri and J'kri need some cuddle time to recover from the Flight. Rademerth seeks advice from older, more experienced dragons, like W'ser's brown Branth or P'nal's Jodeth, of how to Catch a green.
D'ret's green also Rises and this time J'kri and Rademerth are the lucky winners. D'ret also seeks Paetri out for little discussion of their mutual friend J'kri.
Yanley and D'ale are learning what family life with little baby is about...their night time activities does _not_ involve sex.
Tavia also is made it to herself to gain new friends. She approaches the little greenrider G'wen and finds him responsive. Having gold firelizard helps to break the ice.
W'ser checks K'ale's brown Imalkyth after minor ankle twist. E'naer tests Rademerth for Search capabilities and the young blue shows promise, to great delight of J'kri.
The approaching Hatching makes Genna seek advice, from Teseada, about being goldrider and from
Onnyth's eggs Hatches and Genna is the lucky girl to Impress gold Lissath. Gelira, from River Bluff Weyr and Ninaine Impress greens. Helcoger Impress a brown and becames L'ger. Chupsin, Sinla and Chaysea are there to see Genna's Impression. Ninaine's parents, however, don't take it well when their daughter Impresses just green.
Genna gets congratulated by many people, including G'nir, Teseada and N'call. Yanley later looks her up for it and Genna finds moment to celebrate it with Paetri.
Derwill, a technician with ambitious plan to build a device for non-riders to communicate with dragons, asks questions from P'nal and they don't see eye to eye on the matter. He founds more helpful attitude from J'kri.
J'darin loses Cardella's Flight and goes to find his weyrmate but can't find Devyn where he expected her to be. When he finally founds her from Dining Cavern it's apparent that the honeymoon is over. G'nir doesn't hesitate to enjoy the victory of Cardella's Flight.
Jessmyr helps the crippled greenrider Talwynn with some tasks and the two find something in common. Both have reason to be bitter with their lot in life and Talwynn finds out that boy understands perfectly who it feels to be less than perfect.
