Dragonsfall Weyr welcomes a new Headwoman, Oselle, a straight-laced intimidating woman who is sure to whip the Lower Caverns into shape She and Weyrwoman Saibra hit it off in an interview, while H’run finds himself not so pleased to meet the new Headwoman when he’s locked out of the storeroom.
In a sad turn of events, Dragonsfall’s Weyrleader, K’reyel, becomes grounded after an accident in Threadfall that left Erdenth grounded for the unforeseeable future. Weyrsecond R’enh steps up to become the Acting Weyrleader until Chioneth’s next flight determines the new Weyrleader of Dragonsfall Weyr.
Speaking of R’enh, his son Zorenh from Dolphin Cove officially decides to move to Dragonsfall.
Weyrwoman’s Second, Ashela, introduces herself to a bronzerider new to the Weyr, who will also become Cobalt Wing’s new Wingleader. K’rel also meets Kamalia while he’s on his way to pick out furniture.
G’zan is busy this month, first by partnering with L’keri on messenger duty, and then secondly, he has to set Ellenico straight about whether or not he’s dating E’kavas. He also helps Ashela with the storeroom inventory.
Gienah thinks back to how she and J’kellar got to know one another when they were Weyrlings.
Bluerider D’erik catches up with his clutchmate, Greenrider Zariah, where they swap childhood stories, discuss her children possibly becoming Candidates, and decide if D’erik is serious enough to date E’kavas.
N’kyri, always the life of the part, throws a large scavenger hunt to celebrate the end of Turn 10. K’mai, L’keri, and G’zan eagerly participate in the fun shenanigans.
E’kavas and K’mai meet at the Winger Lake. It’s too cold.
Saibra reflects on the graduations of her son, Ki’ben, and brownrider R’hil, when they joined the fighting Wings.
T’gyrlan has many happy moments. First he’s cleared by Weyrdragonhealer W’ser to fly once more, after thinking he would be grounded for the rest of his days. He then wins Zariah’s mating flight. E’kavas bakes celebration cupcakes for Zariah’s mating flight. He’s supportive like that.
Zariah and T’gyrlan share an emotional moment after he wins her flight.
K’mai also catches up with T’gyrlan who has a new light within now that he’s cleared to fly again.
M’til and K’mai discuss the depressingly cold weather and possibly finding a gather to attend.
T’lonas, like M’yvak, tries to convince Ekirim to Stand. It’s not an easy sell. Ekirim then seeks out J’ler’s opinion on dragonriding.
A’yell finds the tables turned on his blackmailing scheme with Saedyna.
K’aur has a run in with a childhood bully and tries to defend his sister.
