Reports for Vintner Hall

June 4th 2007

The Vintner Hall and its Tavern have had several guests this month! Of course we're happy to see everyone and all are welcome! And while you're here, don't forget to check out the fine selection of wines available at the Hall, and the Hallsecond has encouraged the brewers to come up with some fine brews in honor of their new home! Remember, the
vintners would be happy to arrange a tasting for any who wish one... (hint hint!)

It sounds as though the Tavern will start to have guest harpers come and perform for the gathered audiences! Hartam has been busily arranging accommodations for them, and Tavern Master Bhervehan has promised to even put them up for night! Hartam assured him that many harper would love to come and play for a new audience, so keep your eye out for that!

We already had one guest harper from the Weyr! Bronzerider R'masu came and performed one night. After his set, he shared a beer with Weyrlingmaster R'syl and both are reminded of lost family members. It seems they have both lost loved ones in early Falls. Neither one is eager to replace their dead weyrmates any time soon. Though they both will always have their dragons, nothing can take the place of loved ones lost.

Hartam and Tayette also have a rather heavy conversation as they go out for a walk in the afternoon sun. They share a little about their past, including the fact that Tayette has been disowned by her family. Hartam gently encourages her that time can heal old wounds, but Tayette isn't so sure. While they take a rest at a pretty spot were children are known to play, they talk about the innocence of their own childhoods as compared to children growing up in a Pass. Tayette mourns that fact that she has no children of her own, and Hartam encourages her to maintain a positive attitude.

Of course things aren't always so heavy at the Tavern! One afternoon Kaldyn made good on his promise to Harper Faram and brought his wife and daughter to the Tavern for lunch. Kaldyn and the Tavern Master discuss the true master of their lives - the women in them! Karei teasingly promises to encourage Bhervehan's greenrider daughter to continue to keep her father on his toes when they meet someday.

Why not drop by for a visit? Dragonriders are always welcome, and we are only a dragon's thought /between/...
