Journeywoman Trellyn and Senior Apprentice Ednan sneak away from the Hall together on Turns Beginning for some time alone.

On day 12 of month 1 the Hallmaster is continuing to work through her interviews with all of the dolphineers and reaches Kalesia, a former seacraft apprentice.

On day 16 Alydelle and Master Leisenn have a chance to talk before breakfast and the Hallmaster asks the young apprentice what she wants to be doing in sixty-two Turns time.

A storm at the end of sevenday 3 finds the Weyr's Headwoman sheltering in a ruined outbuilding of the Hall, and Trellyn going to check up on her.

On the first day of the last sevenday of the month Ylisahn returns to the Hall and discusses with Hallmaster Leisenn the possibility of the Hall accepting a headwoman from the Weyr.

On day 25 Leisenn is able to tell Master of Apprentices, Mahantan, the good news - the Hall is getting a headwoman at last.
