Savith began to stir as Riveenata was finishing her breakfast. The
rider reached out to touch her dragon, expecting the normal confused
sleepiness of early in the morning, and dropped her spoon into the
bowl with a loud clatter as she felt a sudden surge of powerful
emotions pass through her. The roiling restlessness was _not_ normal.

"You alright?" C'jais asked from the next table over.

"I think she's going to rise..." she managed.

"Don't worry, you'll love it," the older greenrider said with a
sympathetic grin.

Riven stood and left her meal where it sat, heading for the flight cots.

On her ledge, Savith snapped to full wakefulness, feeling the new need
pulsing demandingly through her body. She leapt off and flew to to the
ridge of the weyrbowl, perching there in full view of the other
dragons. The early morning's light shimmered over her iridescent
light.

}:I Rise! Who is worthy of me?:{ she demanded, turning her head to
look at the visible male dragons.

Xmrenth had been lazily sunning when he felt, more than heard, the
call of the green dragon. Rising onto his powerful back haunches, the
bronze shook himself, and unfurled his wings, suddenly wide awake and
all too eager to catch the young Savith. The bronze did not answer her
call verbally, but remained on his perch, his wings unfurled, waiting
and ready for the moment when she was spring into the skies.

K'lvin had to beg the pardon of the wingrider he had been meeting with
as Xmrenth told him of his intention to fly. The Wingleader quickly
excused himself and dashed down toward the flight weyrs.

Tyerth roared his answere to her challenge. His rider had been enjoying a
free moment at the beach, started towards the flight weyrs with a jog. L'ris
hair and skin were still wet from recent swim. At least he wouldn't have
much clothes to take off, he grinned to himself. The feeling of expectation
and lust was getting familiar. The older Tyerth got, the more eager he
seemed to be to chase. Winning, however, was still whole another matter to
them.

}: I am!:{ Gormth replied too, showing off his sky-blue hide in the sun
light. Im're grumbled a bit when he heard who Gormth was going to Chase. He
personally prefered green flights with male rider. But Flight was still a
Flight and he was a bluerider.

Vatonth made his attentions very clear to K'dee. He was going to chase the
green. }:I am! I am worthy,:{ he told her. }:We will be good together. :{

Sebeth bugled his intention. He had been watching this one for a
while. }:I am fast and strong and you will see that I am the best!:{

K'mai grinned as he hurried to join the group of male riders. He
wished Sebeth luck and would love to end up tangled with Riven, but
ultimately he hoped his friend had a good first flight, even if it
wasn't with him.

Riven still had enough of her own mind to flash a smile at the men who
were coming to join her. She knew several of them, hoped it would go
well.

A fine selection of males were responding to her. Blues, browns, even
bronzes wanted her! The feeling of power over the men was suddenly
intoxicating to Savith, who had never been overly interested in them
before. She would move, and they would follow. It was right and
powerful.

The weyrling green launched herself off of the rim and began soaring
into the sky, heading inland along the river rather than out towards
the sea. }:Catch me if you can, then:{

Seneth flew at her from out of the sun, his wings creating eddies to
buffet Savith's wings. Below, a rather flustered and out of breath
F'lin stumbled into the mating cots, having enough presence of mind to
flash a smile and a wink at Riven. It was about time Savith rose!

Xmrenth liked the path that the green chose to fly as it was a one
with pleasant scenery... but this wasn't about scenery, this was about
the beautiful, glowing emerald form in front of him. As some younger,
inexperienced males jostled about him, Xmrenth calmly dipped his wings
and let them by. He doubted this young green was going to allow
herself to be caught so easily as that. He would bide his time until
the right moment had arrived.

Falzeth wasn't far behind the others when D'arvn entered the flight
room. He liked all green flights and was happy when his lifemate chose
to chase. Being blue Falzeth was able to more easily keep pace with
the lively green's course changes than other larger dragons and he
crooned his adoration to the young green. }:Lovely Savith, choose me.
I will fly you well:{

Sebeth darted ahead to find a good position then dropped back slightly
to keep pace with Savith. Her inexperience likely meant a short flight
and he would be close by to make his move as soon as he saw an
opportunity. }:You are so beautiful. Glowing, teasing. We will be a
fine sight when we twine.:{

Vatonth followed along the path Savith was setting. He would make this
worthwhile for both the green and her rider. }:Choose bronze,:{ he
urged. }:Bronze and green will make a beautiful sight in the sky:{

So many promising males chasing after her like she was the light of the
sky. She twisted and turned as she tried to stay a dragonslength ahead,
wanting to see how the larger bronzes and browns handled her trickery and
trying to keep the more clever blues back. Only the best would have her!

Tyerth flew strong and steady. He was young and strong,
Gormth went for more acrobatics, matching her in speed if not in agility.

There was blue dancing a pattern too close. She swerved away from him
and thought of her options. A bronze who she was very familiar
followed close behind her and she felt an impulse towards him from her
rider, but then there were other bronzes there as well. One quieter so
far, but with powerful wingbeats that were overtaking the younger
ones. And another who made promises.

Speaking of promises, one blue had the sweetest words of all, and
Savith in a flight was easily flattered. He was promising, and she
slid towards him.

On the ground, Riven swayed towards the men, stretching in a display
that mimicked her green. She was lost in her green, her normal reserve
and confidence replaced by desire burning hotter than the sun-warmed
beach sands, and a confidence that stemmed from being the most desired
object in a room.

Sebeth darted forward to claim the green. }:Lovely Savith! You are
mine!:{ Necks and tails entwined, they fell.

Mimicking his dragon, K'mai grabbed Riven and pulled her into a
passionate kiss. He started shedding his clothes, moving them both
toward the flight cot.

She shuddered and kissed him back, lost in the twin surges of feeling.

Vatonth bellowed his disappointment even as he made his way back to the
Weyr. His rider stumbled into the arms of a waiting, willing woman who was
ready to help him deal with his needs.

The sharp stab of disappointment could have originated from either
Seneth or his rider. They'd lost. How could they have lost? F'lin
turned away from Riven and K'mai and allowed himself to be distracted
while Seneth roared his dismay and flew off to sulk on the beach.

Tyerth bellowed out his disappointment too, before turning around to
return home. His rider just shrugged it off and picked up a flight
moth for himself.

Im're shook himself like wet canine, and brushed off the hands that
reached out for him. He was heading off to the sea, to swim off the
dragon lust. His mind was on certain young healer.

D'arvn turned to slake his condition with the first pair of reaching
arms. The gender didn't matter. He was happy with offered consolation.
