Just days after their first paired flight, Charayoth was acting rather
edgy. Gelira found herself picking up on her dragon's mood. She'd
snapped at three people this morning and didn't have a good reason for
any of it.

Soon all began to make sense. She felt the intense desire ripple
through Charayoth and her own thoughts. In an instant, the lithe,
gentle green had taken to the skies and chortled her challenge to all
who would follow.

}:Who thinks they can catch me?:{ Feeling confident in her youth,
Charayoth beat her wings and hovered for a moment before pushing
higher into the sky.

}:I can win you, lovely Charayoth,:{ called Rogueth, leaping from the
ground to soar after her. He wanted the lovely green, to watch her fly and
win this flight.

Imalkyth's eyes whirled with desire }:I will have her:{ he declared as
he flung himself from the heights where he had be waiting. K'ale
could do nothing but jog toward the mating cots and the waiting rider.

Arinoth's head swung around at the sound of the young green calling to
the males of the Weyr. It was a common enough thing, hearing a green
let out a mating call, but there was something about this one in
particular that caught the brown's interest. **I'll catch this one.**
Arinoth told K'yne before he leapt from his weyrledge and into the
open sky.

}: You're mine, :{ Nirreth crooned when he joined the growing number
of males. His bronze hide shone with resent bath.
G'nir noted who the rider was and smiled, she was lovely one.

Juth and Galerith were involved in a bit of a friendly/rival banter
when they landed and deposited their riders.
"And we are both hera again," Sh'lua grinned at his much young half-brother.
"As usual," M'shan grinned back and then turned his attention to the
green's rider.

Rademerth joined the other males, boasting to the green as usual about
how he was the best. Shaking his head with amusement, J'kri hurried
toward the mating cots.

Charayoth flew fast and high, loving the feel of the air as it rushed
past her. On the ground, Gelira was one with her dragon, lost to the
moment of Flight.

}:Who dares to catch me?:{ The young green called out. She could feel
her wings tiring and knew soon she would have to choose unless one
caught her first.

}:I would dare,:{ called Rogueth to the green. He used a burst of energy
to race for the sky above the green so they would have space for the fall.

Imalkyth soared through the pack entering the chase from another
angle. }:Beautiful Charayoth :{ he crooned to the glowing green.
}:Pick me:{

}: Choose me, lovely Charayoth, I fly you well, :{ Galertith crooned
at her, keeping a steady pace after her. His mind was alert. She was
young, she was prone to make an error, error that experienced blue
could use for an advantage.

}: I'm strong and handsome, :{ Nirreth boasted.

Juth didn't say anything. Based on his experience (as limited as it
was) it was just waste of breath. And he needed all of his breath with
so many bronzes involved in a chase.

Arinoth would have rolled his eyes, if it were possible, at the
ridiculous, pathetic way the other dragons were _begging_ the green to
let them catch her. He would catch her because of his own prowess and
strength, not because he'd asked like a simpering pet. With a snort of
disgust Arinoth edged past the other males, pushing forward on the
last bit of energy that he had, gambling that it would give him the
advantage he needed to win the gleaming beauty.

On the ground K'yne felt his feet involuntarily bringing him closer to
the lovely Gelira. In that moment K'yne was sure that he had never
seen a woman to rival the young greenrider, and his insides burned
with desire for her.

Rademerth edged closer, seeing that the young green was getting tired.
}:I am the most worthy. I will fly you well!:{

As the green grew tired, she knew the time had come. Turing and
twisting in the air, she made for the dragons in pursuit. Just as
quickly as she turned, she felt the wings of a blue wrap around hers.
The chase was over. She had be caught. Her wings joined with Redemerth
just as Gelira joined with his rider on the ground.
