It seemed impossible that this many people had crammed into one tiny weyr. Harki pushed through the crowd, a drink in one hand and a stupid smile plastered across her face. After a shitty month, a crowd like this, made up of her friends, made her feel bright and alive. The weyr was packed wall-to-wall with (mostly) familiar faces, and the air buzzed with music and laughter. A small space had even formed at the foot of her bed for an impromptu dance competition, spurred on by dueling Harpers.

The greenrider continued shoving her way forward, broke through the dance circle, and climbed onto her bed between the people seated there. "Hey. HEY!" She waved her arms until the music had quieted and most of the eyes were turned her way. "It's my birthingday! Thanks for coming!"

Nokala had been one of the harpers so when the music stopped, she reached for a drink. Hopefully someone would place something wet into her hand. She noticed the greenrider from before yelling something about her birthingday. **Hmm guess this is her place then.** The journeyman had only come because someone had mentioned a party with food and drinking.

"Happy birthday," K'ale shouted with the others around him lifting his glass and put his arm around the young greenrider next to him. She was pretty and about as tipsy as he was. All in all he was enjoying the drinks and company very much.

"That's right!" Harki gestured to the crowd, spilling a bit of beer on the floor as she did so. "My sharding birthingday! Know what that means?"

"You're even prettier?" a brownrider hollered at her.

Talwynn chuckled at her friend's antics. Harki was well into her cups, but she was lively. It was good to see her like this.

T'nom had come along with one of the other riders he'd gotten to know. He didn't know Harki at all, but he didn't care. This was his chance to live it up in his new home. With his own beer in hand, he raised his cup along with the others near him when Harki announced it was her Birthdayday. "Cheers to the birthday girl!" He shouted with the group of riders he was with.

Cardella smiled as she sidled up towards Harki. "Happy birthday, girl," she giggled a bit as she gave her fellow greenrider a bit of a friendly bump on the arm. "Great party!"

Paetri stood with a group of others, looking out into the crowd as she sipped her cider. It wasn't alcoholic, she really didn't like strong drink, but she was enjoying the activity even if she wasn't taking part. Harki looked happy and that was important all on her own.

Rorela strolled in, holding up bottles of wine. "I brought the good stuff!" She gave a whoop of excitement and moved over to stand beside Harki, her own eyes suspiciously bright.

Ma'din looked over at Harki, one brow quirked up and his lip curled with amusement at her behavior. He stayed back against the wall, just watching with his sardonic expression as he sipped from his own glass.

J'kri was next to Paetri, holding a fruity mixed drink. "It's good to see her happy," he told Paetri. He'd noticed his wingmate had been erratic in drills since P'nal had died.

"Hey," K'ale said when the greenrider he'd been talking to got up and moved across the room. "Cardella!" He called. "Come sit with me."

Cardella turned at the sound of her name. Smiling, she sauntered over to her dearest friend.

"Hi K'ale. Didn't know you'd be here," she said as she plopped down next to him.

T'nom was enjoying the chance to get to know many of the other Dragonsfall residents as he chatted with a group of riders.

Sh'lua was very late when he arrived. "Harki! Happy birthday! I'm sorry I'm so sharding late!"

Tavia waved from across the room. "Sh'lua!" She'd hoped for some company from N'klar be he was off somewhere else.

K'ale pulled Cardella close and kissed her. "Good to see you," he said. His words were slightly slurred but only slightly.

"Good to see you too," Cardella replied with a giggle.

"Here's your gift," Sh'lua gave Harki beautifully knit scarf. His sister had made it which is why he was late, he had to pick it up from Dolphin Cove. "Now, where can a thirsty bluerider get a drink?"

"I-- oh! Thank you!" Harki ran her hands over the scarf, then wrapped it around her neck with a smile. "Sh'lua needs a drink!" she bellowed, the contents of her grand speech entirely forgotten. She'd lost the crowd's attention by this point, anyway, which seemed a bit unfair given that it was her birthingday. Still, it _was_ her birthingday, which meant that she was another Turn older and had survived another Turn of Threadfall. That was enough and more than the greenrider could have ever expected. She stepped off her bed and let herself be surrounded by the good cheer and backslaps from friends in a celebration of life.
