Description: Arippa and Reven enjoy a little birthingday celebration on the
morning of his thirtieth birthingday.
Location: Green Valley Hold
Date: month 3, day 10 of Turn 8
**Thirty Turns old.... _THIRTY._** Reven couldn't quite grasp it.
Thirty sounded so adult, so... old. He remembered being a child
thinking that thirty was practically ancient. Now thirty seemed
surreal, especially since his wife was still in her teens.
He'd risen early and slipped into his dressing room, where he stood in
front of his mirror, staring at his reflection. **I don't feel thirty.
I don't feel any differently than I did when I was twenty.** He held
up his left hand, which was missing it's pinky from his abduction.
**Except for that. That's different.**
Maybe it was her back getting cold but Arippa rolled over to an empty
bed. "Reven," she called puzzled. He rarely rose without... well. She
blushed at the direction of her thoughts.
The sound of his name broke Reven's reverie and he left his dressing
room, padding barefoot across the floor as he crawled back into the
warmth of the bed. With an arm around her waist, Reven pulled Arippa's
warm, soft body flush against his and nuzzled her neck softly. "I'm
here."
"Mmmmm," she molded herself against him. "Happy birthday darling," she
breathed into his ear.
"Yes, the big 3-0." He replied, his breath ghosting across her skin.
"Aww," she smiled. "You don't look that old," she said. Completely in
love with her husband Arippa never truly thought about their age
difference. Truthfully she was quite happy with it. He knew so much
more about the world that she did, she felt safe and protected with
him. Her world was secure because of Reven.
Reven cocked his eyebrow at that, thinking he would file that away to
say when _she_ turned thirty. "You don't mind being married to an old
man then?"
"You're _not_ old," she said pulling back. She twisted around from
side to side, "Not a single gray hair," she pronounced though of
course it would be hard to tell in his mane of blond hair. "And no I
don't mind at all. You're very... healthy."
"Healthy, hm?" he chuckled, pressing his hips forward.
"Oooh," she coo'ed with her eyes innocently wide. "_Very_ healthy."
Lifting his hand, he cupped her cheek, running his thumb over her
silky skin. In the darkness of the room he could only make out her
silhouette, recently made more curvy after the birth of their
daughter. Desire for his wife thrummed through his body, effectively
chasing away any thought of returning to sleep.
Her hand went to his waist to urge him closer still. "Oh yes," she
purred. "This is the best way to start the day."
Reven heartily agreed. Trailing his hand down her neck, and along her
torso, he curled his long fingers over the curve of her hip and pulled
her closer as his lips found hers in the darkness.
She went willingly where he led and was soon sighing her pleasure and
trying to give as good as she got.

"Maybe I'll just spend my birthingday in bed with my wife." Reven
said, his fingers trailing through Arippa's long hair as the first bit
of dawn began to peek into the room.
Arippa giggled. "As much as _I_ might appreciate that," she grinned.
"Our guests might begin to wonder what happened to their hosts."
Reven thought of the people who had already begun to arrive the day
before for his birthingday festivities planned for that day. "I
suppose you are right," his lips found their way back to her neck.
"But I expect several dances with my wife this evening."
Her eyes sparkled as the sky glowed awake. "You'll have as many dances
as you like love."
"And some birthday cake?" Hmm, Arippa and birthday cake seemed like a
winning combination.
**Just like a little boy,** she laughed. "Yes and cake too, but only one
piece."
Reven stuck out his lower lip, the perfect picture of a pout, "Just one?"
"Yes," she poked him in the side. "But it can be a _big_ piece."
"Oh good, maybe I'll share it with you then." He gave her face one
last caress, knowing that he had to get up and get his day started.
Reven pressed a kiss to the tip of her nose. "I'll catch up with you
this evening then, my lady."
She grinned as she leaned into the kiss. "I'll be the lady in a green
dress."
