It was the morning meal. Not all of the Weyr was awake yet since the night
before had been so stressful. The Weyrwoman herself was planning to go back
to bed for just a little bit before getting up to make sure everything was
ready for threadfall. She hadn't slept for most of the night and it showed
on her face. Walking into the Dining Cavern, she downed a cup of warm klah
then walked around to the front of the dais. Signaling for attention, she
waited until everyone was quiet.

She wasn't going to tell them everything since that was Lenala's business.
She was going to tell them news they would have learned themselves later
though. With so many dragons in a Weyr, someone would have told someone soon
enough. Rhosyn's eyes carried over her folk and she understood they all felt
the possibility of the loss. With the eggs sitting there, it was even
harder.

"Last night, my Wingsecond Lenala was sent to the Infirmary because she was
having complications with the pregnancy. Her health issues upset her queen
and Vilarth reacted. We were able to get her calmed down and Lenala was
treated. She is now stable and will be recovering under the healers' care.
Vilarth still watches over her eggs and they are safe." They would all
realize soon enough that Lenala wasn't pregnant any longer but that wasn't
something Rhosyn would announce. Let them discover it themselves.

"Please don't bother the healers asking about her. If you have gifts or
messages, you can leave them with me and I will deliver them when she is
ready to receive visitors. In time, she will return to her regular duties. I
am sure she would want us all to focus on the threadfall we fly today
instead of her. So please don't worry-Lenala is in good hands and we are in
no danger of losing Vilarth or the eggs." Never mind that they had been the
night before, but Faranth bless the healers.

Nodding to signal that was the end of her speech, she went back to the table
and plopped down. A'kades probably wouldn't be flying she didn't think. So
the weyrling wing would be short its Second too. Ah shells, this was just
going to be a wonderful threadfall. Wolfing down her breakfast, she finished
and then slunk away back to her weyr. Hopefully Alfginna would wake her when
she told her to so she could get ready for fall on time.
