Every now and again she was able to use her small meeting room off of
her weyr instead of using the one they did for wing meetings and
larger groups. This was one of those times. So the atmosphere was more
comfortable and less formal. Rhosyn had food and drink nearby, brought
in for her purposes. She'd let the women know to gather and was hoping
this would go as smooth as possible. It was going to be a rough time,
but they would manage.

Alfginna entered, carrying pot of fresh klah and pitcher filled with
iced water and citrus slices. Nodding a greeting, she placed them on
the table and checked the drinks that already were there. Juice she
judged to be okay but the old klah had gone stale. Wordlessly, she
took it out for a waiting drudge. Then she just hovered, unsure what
to do next.

Lanniya came in quietly, taking a seat and looking around. She curled
her feet under her to get comfortable.

"Afternoon," Ciara smiled as she breezed into the room. She went to
the table and smiled at Alfginna. "That looks good," she said and
picked up the pitcher of iced water to pour a glass.

"Alfginna, you can sit when you're done." Rhosyn waited until Ciara had
gotten what she wanted too before she brought up the reason for this small
meeting. "So as most of you know, Lenala is injured and recovering. She's going
to be off duty for some time, then light duty for a bit before she'll
return to full."

The Weyrwoman didn't mention how long that might be because it all depended
on Lenala and the healers. "I'm used to dealing with the wing duties when she's
grounded. But she takes care of the majority of the ground duties usually when
that happens and now she can't. So I was hoping you ladies would help me split
up some of it and see that it gets done."

Alfginna smiled shyly at Ciara and sat down, wondering why she was
included. She was not a dragonrider.

"Sure," Ciara spoke up. Of course she was more familiar with some of
the work K'sedel brought home to their Weyr but Wing duties were Wing
duties whether his wing or hers. She figured she'd be familiar enough
to pick it up quickly. "What do you need?"

"Okay, Lanniya-you learned how to do tithe and inventory recordkeeping
with Lenala during weyrling training. Solieira will have people to
help you but if you think you can do that that would be a huge help.
And I can look at it after to approve it to make sure." Rhosyn ticked
off her list, trying to think of everything that would be completely
ground duties. "Alfginna-you said you had experience with Records and
inventory too. Can you help her?"

"Ciara, people know you. Would you be able to do the infirmary rounds
and get the reports from the Weyrdragonhealer and Weyrhealer for me?"
It made more sense to her than sending a young girl by herself and
left Lanniya where she'd have help.

"Yes. I was trained to run a hold. The records can't be that much different,"
Alfginna replied.

Ciara in her turn nodded. "I can do that," she said.

Records. Shards, she _hated_ records. Dusty hides in dusty rooms that
just seemed to go on and on and on without stop. She would have much
rather done the infirmary duty. Her nose wrinkled. "Yes, I suppose."

"Okay so those boxes are checked. I'll let everyone know to expect you Ciara.
Lanniya, if you can let Solieira know you and Alfginna will be working on that
for me?" Hopefully everything would go smoothly and she wouldn't have to worry.
"As far as the tithe goes, we have to inventory before we store them-
since once we take possession if something is wrong, we can't get them
to fix it. At that point, we just have to swallow and go on." It went without
saying they didn't need to deal with a tithe shortage just then.

"Ladies, I sincerely appreciate this. If you can report to me after
the wing meetings on progress, that'd be great. If at any time, you
need help or backup, let me know. I don't expect any issues, though.
Any questions or things you can think of?"

Alfginna just sat quietly, nodding or shaking her head when appropriate.
Privately she thought that Rhosyn was over reacting a bit. The Weyr
was not going to collapse just because one person was out of the
picture for awhile. The Headwoman was very capable and could do her
job without anybody peering over her shoulder.

Lanniya had no questions, so she just shook her head.

Ciara did the same.

"Great, wonderful. Load off my shoulders. Well loads really. Feel free
to eat as much of the goodies that you want before you go. Now I've
got to figure out which hides weren't done for the wing records." She
put her head down and scratched it before she started shuffling hides
in front of her.
