Reven

Reven

Corowal cast a rather amused look at his guard. The man looked harried. Losing track of the Lord Holder for whole night was probaly going to get him yelled at when Zandan found out. Well, at least Corowal had a great time. He turned his attention back to his host. "So, Reven, how's the little one? Felyna sworn me to get all the possible news of her. Including the contents of her diapers, so it seemed. She also apologizes for not being able to travel." She was pregnant again, but she had such difficulties with it that they had not announced it officially yet.

Pride blossomed on Reven's face at the mention of his daughter. "Growing like a weed, she is. I can see now why people have so many children. Well, and there is the making them part, too." He grinned.

"Yes, that is always fun," Corowal replied. It was heart warming to see him so happy. "Now you just have to try for little brother. Or two, or three and few more little girls on the top of the bargain," he chuckled.

"Well, I wouldn't mind that at all, I guess it depends on Arippa." He knew that his wife had been raised to be the epitome of a lady, bearing children and all, but Reven wasn't stupid, bearing children was hard on women, and the last thing he wanted to do was risk Arippa's health in any way.

"Yes, they've the ones who do all the work and take all the risks," Corowal's tone fell to serious. He was remembering the miscarriages both of his wives had. He shook the gloominess of such thoughts off him.

"I'm planning to host a harvest Gather in next month. I would like all the minor Holds set up a display or a stall, to show off your Hold's best products," he moved into another subject. "There will be also competitions, like who bakes the best pie, makes the best cheese and so forth. I'm sure there are people in your Hold who would like to take a part."

Immediately Reven knew that Arippa would be excited about Emerald Falls hosting a Gather. Having grown up at a main Holding, his wife was use to more social activities than Green Valley could host.

"We'll plan on showing up in full force then."

"Good. Aivorn is also selling some yearlings, which might interest your stablemaster," Corowal sell.

"I will be sure to let Caenir know, he's got a much better eye for the beasts than I do." Reven was much more comfortable among the crops with the farmers.

"Master Aivorn in arranging it if he wants to sell some of yours," Corowal replied with a nod.

Reven nodded, and then pushed away from his desk. "Now all that is settled, let's take a walk. I want to show you some of the new crops we're trying out."

"Alright. What are you growing?" Corowal answered and asked. He was not really interested in farming or crops, but it was part of his job to inspect those.

"Well, it's a hybrid of...." the voices of the two men trailed away, and the drudge that had been cleaning the room clapped happily now that she was by herself. A Gather! She couldn't wait to tell the girls in the kitchens.
