"Hi, An'dr. We haven't seen for a while," Kustaava greeted, bit out of breath, since she almost had to run to catch up the young bluerider.
An'dr greeted her with a big smile. "Good to see you too," he said after a moment.
"So, what have you been up to?" Ava asked.
"Missing you," he said daringly. And he had missed her since they had been together.
"Aw, thank's," Ava said and blushed. "I've been busy, with candidate classes and kitchen duties." **And other boys.**
"Do you, do you have time for a walk?" he asked, hoping she'd say yes. Maybe he could kiss her agin, maybe more?
"Depends, how much the clock is?" Ava asked. "I have until fourth candlemark, then I'm back to the kitchen."
"That's about a candlemark from now," he said.
"Then I have that candlemark of time, so we can take a short walk." He smiled at her again, and offered her his hand.
Smiling, Ava took his hand. An'dr seemed to be only one she had luck with. Besides, she genuinedly liked him.
"Are you looking forward to the hatching?" he asked. Part of him wanted her to know how good it felt, but there was a little tiny part that didn't want her to impress, they'd not be able to do this if she did.
"Yes, I'm" Kustaava answered. She was aware the restrictions placed on weyrlings.
"You know we wouldn't be able to do this if you did," he said.
"I know. But it only lasts few months. I think I can survive that."
"I could wait for you, I think."
"That's sweet, but you don't have to. I'm not the only girl in the weyr," Kustaava replied.
"You're the only girl I want right now," he bent to kiss her. "See?" "You _are_ sweet," Ava smiled.
"Maybe if you did impress, Pluserth would catch your green someday?"
"That is always possibly. But aren't you thinking bit too much ahead? I haven't impressed yet, and with only 18 eggs, it doesn't look very likely."
"I think you'l impress, the prettiest green there," he said.
Ava laughed and leaned against his arm.
"But until then," he bent his head to kiss her again. "Do, do you want to come to my weyr later?" he managed to ask when the kiss broke.
"Sure, I can do that," Ava smiled, a warm feeling of anticipation flowing into her.
"Then come and find me after you finish in the kitchens."
"Sure, I'll do that. By the way, where exactly is your weyr? Beach-side or bowl-side? This place is too big that I would want to wander around asking people."
"Bowl-side, fourth level."
Ava nodded, commiting it to her memory.
"I'll look forward to it."
"So do I" the girl answered.
An'dr smiled. "Until later then."
"Later, " Ava replied, promise in her voice.
