}:Ugghh,:{ Chioneth sighed longsufferingly.

**What is it now, my love?**

}:Look for yourself:{

Saibra saw through the eyes of her dragon as the gold swung her head
about to reveal the gaggle of bronzes, and a couple of very ambitious
browns, who were gathered around.

**I thought you liked all of the attention?** Saibra's shoulders shook
with laughter.

}:Yes, but, even constant sunlight gets old after a bit,:{ the senior
queen complained.

Since it had become public knowledge that Erdenth would _not_ be
healed in time to chase Chioneth at her next flight, the push to court
Chioneth and hopefully become the next Weyrleader was coming to a
fever pitch. Saibra was dodging bronze and brownriders at every turn.
They all hoped getting close to the Weyrwoman would earn their dragon
some advantage when Chioneth rose next.

**Why don't you ask Mnoranth if he and his rider are available and
we'll get out of the Weyr for a bit?** Saibra suggested.

}:That would be acceptable,:{ Chioneth decided, before reaching out to Mnoranth.

R'enh was rubbing his temples when the message arrived. He looked at
the mound of hides in front of him then he stood and answered in the
affirmative. "Ask where they'd like to go." The hides would still be
here making babies when he returned.

}:The hot springs,:{ Chioneth replied, even as Saibra tidied her desk
and then passed through the door that led from her office to their
weyr. The hot springs they liked to visit were nestled in the
mountains and while the springs were warm, the area was otherwise
chilly.

It wasn't long before R'enh arrived and Mnoranth curled his large body
along the edge of the pool where the chill breeze swept across the
warm waters. While his rider stood waiting for his weyrmate to join
them.

Chioneth burst out of /between/ and trilled a happy greeting to her ledgemate.

"Thanks for coming," Saibra said as her feet touched the ground. "I
know it was short notice but I think Chioneth was ready to take a bite
out of some dragons."

}:A _big_ bite,:{ Chioneth agreed.

Mnoranth crooned to Chioneth and invited her to join them by the pool.
He was never demanding of the Gold's attention but always there if she
decided she needed some.

R'enh had taken off his boots and rolled up his trousers. He smiled up
at her. "I can use the break," he said. His feet slowly moved in the
warm waters. "I remember how big the job is now," he chuckled. He
grinned at the comment. "Well we must keep her happy," he patted the
stones next to him. "You two lovelies are our reason for being here."

Saibra slipped out of her boots, joining her weyrmate as she dipped
her feet down into the simmering hot springs. "I'll be forever
grateful that you gave up Dolphin Cove to come and be with us here,"
she told him as she settled against his side, laying her head on his
shoulder.

He smiled and wrapped his arm around her. "So did you love," he said,
kissing the top of her head. "Coming to Dragonsfall was a big
decision." He'd given up some things that even his weyrmate didn't
realize. But that was all water under the bridge and he didn't regret
it for a moment. "But it was the right one. And now Zorenh is here
for your next clutch. Maybe even _our_ next clutch."

"Wouldn't that be lovely?" Each time Chioneth rose she hoped that
Mnoranth would be the winner and each time, inevitably, it was some
other bronze. Saibra didn't understand it herself. Mnoranth had caught
other golds, and Chioneth was fond of him, as fond as she was of any
male dragon. Maybe this would be their time.

"We can hope. Though Manoranth is more certain. He always believes he
is the best." R'enh's slow grin was infectious and he squeezed her
shoulders slightly. He knew they'd make a good team but he'd moved
here for _her_ not for the Weyrleaders job.

"He _is_ the best," Saibra said, tilting her head back and pressing a
kiss to her weyrmate's lips. "He chose you, after all."

"Oh my," he said, putting a hand to his forehead. "Did you feel that?
I didn't think my head could get any bigger."

Saibra chuckled. "Nonsense. You're handsome. You're smart. You're
hands down the best dancer among dragonriders. Should I go on?"

"No need," he grinned, caressing the side of her face. "You have my
complete attention oh loveliest most beautiful Weyrwoman of Pern." Now
he sounded like a bronze praising a gold but it came naturally. After
all, Mnoranth said those kinds of things to Chioneth all the time. "I
love you Saibra," he said and closed for a deep kiss. That line was
all his.

The goldrider melted against R'enh, surrendering completely to the
kiss. It was so freeing to be _R'enh_ and _Saibra_ for a few minutes,
rather than Weyrleader and Weyrwoman. "I love you, too." There had
been a time in her life when she hadn't thought she'd ever be able to
give a piece of herself to someone, after K'fel's death, but R'enh had
certainly taken up residence in a corner of her heart that was just
for him.

R'enh retained enough sanity not to pull them both into the waters of
the hotspring. But his body responded to her in the predictable
manner. "Do you want to fly here or in our furs... he groaned against
her lips.

"Right here, dragonrider," Saibra said, turning and throwing a leg
over R'enh so that she was straddling his hips. "Come fly with me."

He chuckled and got busy with removing her belt and unfastening her
trousers, then his own. But with her straddling his lap it was a bit
difficult. "Okay," he smiled and picked her up to lay her beside him
on the blanket he'd brought. "Might be a little chilly," he said
before pulling at her footwear.

"Oh, I have no doubt we'll get warmed up in no time," Saibra promised.
