Description: G'weld and Raush arrive at their new home!
Location: Barrier Lake Weyr
Date: month 12, day 23 of Turn 11
Notes: Mentor Approved!

**Ask Zamyth if she and Raush are ready**, G’weld asked Tarsenuth as the bronze arched his neck, regarded the now-mostly bare weyr he and G’weld had lived in. The bronze snorted, but minded him.

}: Lovely Zamyth, would you like us to depart together? Mine asks if Raush is ready-- we have finally finished packing. :{

}:We are READY!!:{ Zamyth announced with all the gusto of a child who had been excitedly waiting for the next Turnover ever since the last one. }:These bags are far too heavy.:{

Tarsenuth waited for G’weld to clamber onto his neck, and fit into the riding straps, before he spread his mighty wings and launched skyward, sweeping into a circle as he waited for Zamyth to join them, if she would. }: We will have all these bags off soon, and then I shall find a place to sun where we are going.:{ He responds.

}:BRILLIANT!:{ Zamyth declared as she followed the bronze into the air. }:To the other place!:{

3…. 2…. 1!

And out of Between Tarsenuth burst, with a greeting bugle to the Weyr and watchdragon below, lingering a moment to let the sun shine off his hide-- and wait for Zamyth, of course.

Somehow, Zamyth was already there when he got there, which her maniacal bugling soon made apparent.

}:WE ARE HOME!:{

}:Yes! :{ Tarsenuth called back, even as he angled in for a graceful landing. }:Come to me, my lovely-- Ours will need to check in and show themselves for us to receive our own caves.:{

Zamyth landed next to him in a much less graceful, much more crazed sort of skidding motion. Raush quickly dismounted to avoid any more of… well, that.

**Do I need to get the bags down? Or can you be cool for a minute?**

}:What kind of question is that!? Of course, I'm cool!:{

Tarsenuth rather pointedly put a wing half over her when one of the other dragons nearby, a strapping brown, looked their way. }: Of course we shall wait here.:{ he affirms.

**Behave**, G’weld told his bronze, though fondly; and then he grinned at Raush. “So far so good?”

“So far, so good!” Raush confirmed. “Now the real trick is getting weyrs close enough to each other that we don't have to fly to get there…”

“... Or we could get one together?” G’weld suggested, half teasingly. “If Zamyth can put up with Tarsenuth being a ledge hog.”

}: I do not hog ledges. :{ Tarsenuth objected.

Raush smiled brightly at G’weld. He certainly would not mind moving in together.

“Are you asking me to be your weyrmate?”

“... Well. We've known each other for a few Turns now.” G'weld responded. “And we both very much like both of you. Faranth, I'd been planning some romantic speech, but… here it is plain. Raush, will you be my Weyrmate? Officially?”

}:We would be honored by Your acceptance.:{ Tarsenuth rumbled.

“Psssh, you gotta do the speech!” Raush laughed, but he still hugged G’weld close. “But, in the interest of time, you can do it later.” He grinned. “Of course, I am.”

Tarsenuth bugled, and spread his wings in celebration.

G'weld grinned even more widely, and gave Raush an enthusiastic return kiss, stepped back after only a long moment. “Of course I'll speech at you, but later. And there'll be a nice dinner, too! Let's just get Tarsenuth and Zamyth settled, first.”

“It'll be nice to have dinner together… in _our_ weyr,” Raush said dreamily. “When everyone is settled, of course. This better be so flaming romantic.” He touched G’weld’s jawline. “I'll make it worth the effort.”

“_Our_ weyr.” G'weld responded, and beamed. “In our new Weyr. Our new home.” He reached up to catch Raush's hand in his own, and held it to his cheek. “Just _being_ here with you is worth the effort.”

“Well, if you insist, I don't _have_ to put out.” Raush laughed. “But I think I'd be a little happier if you'd let me.”

“I think we _both_ rather would enjoy that.” G'weld responded teasingly. “... But first, I think, we need to report in, so we can _have_ a weyr to call home. Unless you fancy camping underneath our dragons’ wings…?” He was still grinning.

“As much as I might be convinced to get down to business down here in that sparse shelter, I think our new home might have something to say about that…” Raush laughed. “Well. I guess we'd better report in, then.”

G'weld beamed again. “Right. Well. Let's go find out _where_ to report in.” He told Raush. “Let's go find our future.”
