Nosarre

**Was this _ever_ going to get old?** Rh'din wondered, half to himself, gazing at Paskith, who gazed back with whirling eyes of adoration. He barely needed to even remind the blue to chew anymore, and Paskith had stopped charging for the bucket immediately. Well… mostly.

“Morning.” He greeted the weyrling who stepped up next to him. “I don't think we've been properly introduced?”

}:Oh, good morning green sister!:{ Paskith greeted happily. }:Do you want to play after we have eaten?!:{

Nosarre wrinkled her nose. They'd been in classes for nearly a month, of course they had been. She grabbed a knife and began preparing Kiziolth's meal. "We have." She clarified curtly, the blade slicing through the meat and hitting the table with a thunk.

Kiziolth startled a little at the blue's enthusiasm. She regained her composure and settled down to wait for her breakfast, hardly minding her rumbling tummy. She did want to play, desperately, but the quick dismissal from her rider had her shaking her head at Paskith. }: Thank you, but I can't.:{

Paskith was bouncing in place a little as he watched His work, eyes whirling delightedly. It _was_ possible to talk and eat-- and the blue as ever wanted to engage with his siblings as much as possible. }:Why not? Today is perfect weather for playing after we have eaten, before we nap!:{

“You _always_ think it's perfect weather.” Rh'din told Paskith, amused.

Then he grinned at Nosarre. “Sure, but that's class time. Outside of class, well-- we do have _five minutes_ of free time a day, don't we?”

}: It's cold. :{ Kiziolth said uncertainly, glancing back over at her rider. That was true, and though she was fascinated by the cold muck, Nosarre wouldn't want to wait for her.

"Five whole minutes." Nosarre drawled. "And as I see you in class the rest of the time, I'd rather not spend them entertaining you with small talk."

“Ouch.” Rh'din chuckled, with another grin, unbothered. “Well, what'd you rather talk about while we're both here, then? Lesson plans can't surely be your only interest…”

Paskith thought about it. }:Mine says _much_ fun can be done in mud! Building, and digging, and I am sure if we move around it would not be _so_ cold!:{

Nosarre shot Rh’din a flat look, clearly unimpressed. She sliced another piece of meat, the sharp thunk of the knife against the cutting board satisfying in its finality. The task was rote by now, but at least it required some focus -- unlike Rh'din, who seemed to have as much thought as a flower in the wind. "We don't need to fill every moment with pointless chatter."

}: Well…maybe. Once we're done eating. :{ Kiziolth relented, though she didn't expect she'd be allowed to wander far.

Rh'din continued to cut neat strips. Well… as neat as he could. “How's getting to know one another pointless? We might be in the same wing someday. Don't you think it's a good idea to start building those ties up early?”

}:Well… I _am_ hungry.:{ Paskith allowed. }:Hurry up Mine!:{

"No." Nosarre said easily as she scraped scraps to the side for Wrentley to devour. "We will practice formations as a wing and in trios when the dragonets are older, and then we will join the Wings themselves. I don't need to know how many siblings you have or how great travelling the road was to fight Thread. All I need to know is that you can stay in formation."

“Well that's a grim way of looking at it.” Rh’din commented. “And a rather friendless existence, don't you think? I love Paskith so much already, but… other bonds will be important too. Eventually. Best lay foundations now.”

"Or pragmatic. It hardly matters. When I'm done here I can go back to my craft. If I'm lucky I'll hardly have to talk to you at all." Nosarre said. She lowered the half-full bucket to the ground and Kiziolth reached for it carefully, as Nosarre instructed the day before when she had lunged for it too fast.

**Rude, isn't she?** Rh'din thought, half at Paskith. He still gave a grin and a shrug Nosarre's way. “Suit yourself, miss prickly. Though I don't envy whichever Wing you end up in.”

}:I like Kiziolth.:{ Paskith responded simply, scrambling for his own bucket to begin to feast.

“_Chew_, Paskith.” Rh'din prompted, and the blue obeyed.
