Kiziolth couldn't help but perk up when Nosarre picked up the riding straps. She loved flying, loved flying with her rider, and they didn't do it often outside of classes. The weyrs set aside for the new weyrlings had walk-down access, and they'd gotten priority since Kiziolth had been delayed from flying. }: Zollarth, are you home? We're coming over.:{ She supplied politely, given that Nosarre had given no such instructions before climbing aboard.
The green landed clumsily on the blue's ledge, chirruping apologetically to her rider as she quickly dismounted. Nosarre was already letting herself in. "I need to propose a truce."
“I’m sorry, did I say you could come in?” Zaphare demanded, incredulous. “And… what?” She almost hadn’t believed it when Zollarth had passed on the message -- she’d thought he somehow confused which dragon was bespeaking him or something. But here was Nosarre, just as he’d warned. “You’ve got fifteen seconds to explain before I push you back outside.”
"Calm down, I'm not staying for tea." Nosarre said dismissively. "I want Zollarth to chase Kiziolth when she Rises. It _likely_ won't be for another few months, but she hasn't once done anything according to her development schedule. I figured you might encourage him just to mess with me, too, and that's not the energy I need in my flightroom."
Zaphare’s nose wrinkled in confusion. “...What? What kind of logic is that? You don’t want me encouraging him just to mess with you, but you want me to encourage him?”
}:I wouldn’t mind,:{ Zollarth supplied casually, to both Zaphare and Kiziolth. }:Maybe I like her.:{
He had moved over on his ledge to allow her to stay, if she wished.
"If you're going to be there anyway, I'd rather it be because you're doing me a favor instead of messing with me." Nosarre repeated with a roll of her eyes. "Half of those blueriders wouldn't know what to do with a woman if they tumbled into bed with one, and I have even less faith in the others. Can you imagine being the first person to be naked in front of A'ris? Ugh."
}: This is a silly conversation.:{ Kiziolth said quietly to Zollarth, though she did scoot further in.
}:It is,:{ he agreed, yawning. }:We shall fly whenever we want to. It isn’t complicated.:{
Zaphare gave a bark of laughter -- not at Nosarre, but at the mental image of A’ris. “_Right_? You’ve got a point. Most men are completely hopeless, and I don’t imagine mating flights make it any better.” Unable to resist teasing, though, she leaned against the wall with one elbow, cocking an eyebrow. “You’re sure _I_ know what to do with a woman, huh?”
"I don't, but I have more trust in a woman knowing what she's doing than any man." Nosarre answered with a long-suffering sigh and a wrinkle of her nose. "And I can't exactly be picky. It's either you or Kadira. And while she's not likely to bite me, I don't think she'd do much more than lie there."
“_I_ can afford to be picky, though. There’s _lots_ of greens rising out there. But I guess you’re not half-bad…” She made a show of looking Nosarre over.
"Flattering." Nosarre said flatly. "Are you in or out?"
“Well, I can’t _force_ Zollarth to chase if he’s not interested. But I think he will be, especially if I am. Consider me in. Unless you piss me off more than usual between now and then.”
"Fine. Then I'm done here, and with ten whole seconds to spare." Nosarre said. She turned to go, but paused at the threshold between weyr and ledge. "If Zollarth wins, I'll owe you."
Kiziolth gave Zollarth a gentle nudge with her nose before hopping over to meet her rider.
