Description: N'vanik has a little too much fun watching Kenza suffering from an
impressive hangover.
Location: Dragonsfall Weyr
Date: month 13, day 7 of Turn 3
Kenza woke up sprawled on a strange couch and suffering a headache so intense she wasn't sure she was in any state to open her eyes and figure out whose couch she had ended up on.
}: Loseth's rider's, :{ Solith supplied in a voice loud enough that it was obviously on purpose. The overtones of disapproval at her rider's behavior filtered through as well, and Kenza groaned.
**At least it's Loseth's rider's _couch_ and not Loseth's rider's bed,** she retorted, wondering if she should just go back to sleep. If she _could_ with her head pounding like it was...
}: You drank too much, :{ came Solith's entirely unhelpful reply. Kenza groaned again and reached up to press her palms against her eyes. Shards, she hadn't felt this bad in _turns_.
"Well, good morning sunshine!" N'vanik said none too quietly as he entered the room. The sight of a hungover Kenza on his couch was very amusing.
"I hate you," Kenza replied darkly. She tried to open one eye and was rewarded with another stab of pain. "Why are you up so sharding early?"
N'vanik grinned. "I made Loseth promise to wake me up when you woke up." The bronzerider was wearing his pants from the night before with no shirt and his hair was tousled. "I didn't want to miss seeing you all bright-eyed and bushy-tailed."
Kenza rolled over and buried her face in the back of the couch. "I still hate you," she muttered, her voice muffled. "Is that the thanks I get for acting like a gentleman and not taking advantage of you in your vulnerable state?" N'vanik walked over to a nearby chair and sat down.
"Yes," she replied in an annoyed tone. "At least then I might have gotten to sleep in a bed. Shards, I'm too _old_ for this." She'd be lucky if her back straightened up any time soon. Gritting her teeth, she opened her eyes and glared at N'vanik. He smiled at her, and reached for the bottle that was still on the table.
"My couch is comfortable enough. I've broken it in plenty of times." N'vanik took a small sip from the bottle.
The sight of the bottle made her stomach roll rather uncomfortably. With a great deal of effort, she shoved herself up into a sitting position and ignored the way the room seemed to roll along with her stomach. "Don't suppose you want to get me some water?"
"What, you don't want more of this?" He shook the bottle at her. Seeing the look on her face, he relented. "Alright." He got up and returned a moment later with a glass of water.
She accepted it with a grimace, taking a tiny sip and hoping it wasn't going to upset her already angry stomach. "Could you possibly be enjoying this any more?" she demanded grumpily.
"I don't know," he said. "I am having a pretty good time." There was a good chance this wouldn't happen again, so he was going to enjoy every minute of it.
"I'm glad I'm so entertaining," she replied with a scowl. "You mind if I go drown myself in your bathing pool? It might make my head feel better."
"I guess not. As long as you don't puke in it."
Kenza hauled herself to her feet with another groan, and resisted the urge to kick him as she shuffled past him. She'd probably fall over on her backside and give him even _more_ entertainment. "Of course not. I'm saving that for your shoes."
"You're such a charming lady," the bronzerider commented as Kenza made her way toward his bathing room.
"I try," she replied bitterly. She'd get back at him eventually. Once her head had stopped pounding.
