Karri sat down at the breakfast table across from Kamira and reached
for the klah. She was tired, and sore, and she needed the burst of
energy the klah would provide. She gave Kamira a brief smile before
grabbing a redfruit and taking a bite out of it.

For her part, Kamira was already on her second mug of the stuff and
feeling very much like a third. "I feel like I got thrown off the
cliffs in a bad of firestone." She groaned. "I don't know why I'm so
tired today!"

Karri knew why _she_ was tired, her evening with U'kaiah had been both
amazing and exhausting, but she didn't think Kamira's was from the same
type of excercise. "Too much firestone slinging?"

"I've been having a rough sevenday." She rolled her eyes, thinking of
her own fight with U'kaiah, her run in with Az'uka, in addition to her
weyrling duties. "How has yours been?"

"I'm so sorry Kamira," she reached out and squeezed her friend's hand,
before adding, "I've had an _interesting_ few days myself."

Right away Kamira knew something was up - but what was it? "What
happened?" She wasn't suspicious, exaclty, but _something_ was going
on!

Karri shrugged, it wasn't one of the subjects she was all that used to
discussing, but she also really wanted to share it with someone, and
who better than her best friend. "I just uh, did what you told me to
do, and I uh, got some 'experience'."

All of a sudden, all Kamira's worries and distractions were gone. She
laughed a little and then became very interested in the situtation. "Oh
did you? And how did the 'experience' go?"

"Good" she said with a nod.

The girl rolled her eyes. "A few more details than that?" She half
begged. If Karri had finally gotten the courage to have some fun,
Kamira wanted to know all about it. Well... at least to hear about
selected parts of it.

Karri looked at Kamira. She knew her friend was going to try and pull
it all out anyways so she might as well tell the whole story. "Well,
you know I've kind of liked F'lik for awhile now..."

**F'lik! Of course!** Kamira could have kicked herself - Karri and
F'lik had been spotted together a time or two. "... And...?"

"Well, I found out that he's been seeing this apprentice baker or
something." she said sourly. F'lik had been the only boy she'd ever
really had feelings for, and his dismissal of her affections was still
painful.

"Oh." She was a little disappointed and then confused all over again.
"Then... who did you have your fun with?"

"I'm getting to that," Karri said with a grin. Now she was going to
try and draw thing out just to frustrate her friend. "So then I
decided I'd just find some nice guy, and I ended up talking and
flirting with Z'malac."

For having no idea how to flirt, it ocurred to Kamira that Karri
certianly seemed to be a natural. But, what did it matter? Everyone in
a weyr flirted (and more) like crazy, Karri was just catching up. So
Kamira stayed quiet and nodded her head, having no idea who this
Z'malac was.

"Well, I don't know if my flirting scared him away or if he's just not
interested in girls," Karri went on, slightly embarrassed remembering
the scene as the bluerider had made a quick exit, "but that didn't work
out either!"

Kamira just stared now. This story was getting stranger and stranger.
"Would you just tell me already!" Kamira laughed.

"I finally just gave up on trying to make it into something special or
romantic, and decided to look at it more as homework." Karri
explained, having teased her friend long enough. "So I just straight
up asked U'kaiah if he would have sex with me, he said sure, and that
was that!"

Kamira went a little pale. "U'kaiah?" She was almost confused.

"Yeah," Karri went on, not noticing her friends change of color. "And
you were right, it was so easy to just _ask_ somebody rather than worry
about it. I just wish I would have done it sooner, cause now it's done
and I don't have to think about it anymore."

"... Good." She was obviously still a little stuck on the events of
Karri's previous evening.

She looked at Kamira and gave her a sympathetic sigh. "Boy, you really
_must_ be tired."

Kamira's eyes focused quickly on the floor. "Oh! Yes. Quite tired... A
long day, after all." She hoped that Karri wouldn't catch on and start
asking questions - the last thing she wanted was to have to talk about
this.

"Well come on then." Karri said as she refilled her friend's klah mug.
"Drink up, we've got a long day ahead of us."

"You're telling me, friend. You're telling me."
