Karri unstrapped her riding cap as she stepped away from Elliath. As she took her cap off, she ran her fingers through her newly shortened hair. She was glad that drills were done for the day, she was _starving_. "Well, hello Karri," U'kaiah smiled. "How are you today?"

She smiled back, "Tired. I'm not really used to this intensive drilling yet. I never thought I'd miss all that classwork!" "Welcome to the rest of your life," the bronzerider chuckled. "You'll get used to it pretty soon."

She shucked off her riding jacket, relishing in the cool breeze as it hit her slightly sweaty skin. "The sooner the better. Your day been good?" When they'd first had sex, so she could get some experience before her first mating flight, she'd had a moment of worry that he would act differently towards her. She was glad that in the days since he was still the same friendly, easy to talk to U'kaiah. His face broke into a broad, genuine smile. "I've been good. Really good." It seemed as thought things were really looking up for him recently. "Anyway, I just wanted to look for you and make sure you're doing all right."

Karri was glad to see him smile and smiled back, "I'm just fine." Her stomach rumbled again and she giggled, slightly embarrassed. "Well, _I_ might be fine, but my stomach seems to be complaining of neglect...
Want to join me for a bite? I swear I smelled redfruit bread baking before drills." "Now that does sound tempting," U'kaiah grinned as he offered her an arm. "Why don't we run over the kitchens and grab some. Seems those girls could never refuse my big brown eyes." He gave her his impression of his saddest, hungriest look.

She rolled her eyes and giggled again, placing all her gear in one arm and taking his with her other. While she wasn't really _physically_
attracted to U'kaiah, he was too old in her opinion, she could understand with his charms how others were. She had no doubt that those kitchen women would be more than happy to give him _whatever_ he wanted. "Those big brown eyes better get us some sweet butter too or I'll start to doubt your abilities." "I'll put that on the list," he chuckled. "Anything else you want me to get out of the kitchen staff for you?"

Karri made a show of thinking very hard, "Not at the moment, but I reserve the right to use your skills the next time they have bubbly pies cooling. They always seem to run out before I get to them." "Well, as a friend, I will allow you that right. And as a man, I invite you to take advantage of me anytime you like. For bubblies or... for personal reasons," he said giving her a quick wink.

She was inwardly flattered that a man with so many willing partners would offer himself to her outside of what she had deemed a necessary assignment. For a second she considered taking him up on it if for nothing more than a enjoyable time and good practice... but she didn't feel anything for the bronzerider other than friendship, and her heart still twinged with pain for F'lik and his dismissal of her. "Now that you mention it, I think I _would_ like to take advantage of you... and definitely in the capacity of a _man_." Karri added, her eyes dancing as she looked up at the bronzerider, "Do you think you're _man_ enough to move some furniture for me?" "Oh, is that what you young people are calling it these days?" he asked innocently.

Karri just rolled her eyes and grinned.
