"Hi, Karaya!" E'naer gave the young greenrider a cheery greeting and slipped to sit next to her. "How have you been? And where have you put those two flits of yours?" he asked with his friendly manner. "Hmmm, they are probably out with the other two. They spend so much time away with my weyrmates two that I seem to hardly see them." She chuckled.
"Other then that I am growing big."

E'naer's eyes difted to her midsection. "Oh, yes. I haven't got a chance to congratulate you yet, have I? So, congratulations and when are you due?" E'naer asked. When it came to babies and pregnant women, he was as bad as any woman, according to his sister anyway. "I've got a few months yet. According to the healers, including this month, about three. The thing is I already feel big. Huge in fact."

"You really aren't that big yet. You might feel like it but you don't look like it," E'naer replied. He grinned her little wickedly. "Wait till you're on your last month and you go over-due. My sister gave birth 10 days after the day she was due and complained whole time." "Lovely, now I have another thing to look forward to." She said sarcasticaly. "How has it been for you?"

E'naer shrugged. "Pretty well since I was released from the infirmary. You must have heard I was made a Weyrlingmaster's third? Those little ones does keep me busy." "I'd heard you'd been put down there. Do you like it?" She asked, remebering her days as a weyrling.

"Yes, I like it, most of the time. They are full of surprises, those little ones" E'naer said with an affectionate laugh. "I can well remember all the trouble weyrlings and candadites can get themselves into. It's hard to believe I'm not one of them anymore." She smiled at the memories. "Any of them worrisome?"

"There seems always be one or two that make your hair turn grey," E'naer replied and ruefully shook his head. "Hopefully, when this little one becomes a weyrling he or she will not be so troublesome." She chuckled.

"He or she'll be a sweet little thing" E'naer said. "I hope your right. I have some pretty ornery people in my family." She was thinking of her brother and father.

"With you as a mother, how could she or he be anything else but sweet?" E'naer said with a comforting tone. "I hope so." She smiled with a chuckle. "So any excitement in your life lately?"

"Except for trying to keep up with the weyrlings and candidates? Nope. I'm boring" E'naer sighed with depressed tone. "Oh I doubt your all that boring. I'll tell you what. Maybe you could come by my weyr and we can all have a nice dinner together." She smiled. "I'm sure my Weyrmate won't mind. You can bring a gentleman friend if you like."

She smiled sweetly at the mention of a gentleman friend.

"Gentleman friend?" E'naer asked with raised eyebrown. "I wish I had one" he added with a mournful sigh. "Perhaps we shall have to find you one." she teased.

E'naer shook his head ruefully. "Who would want to be with someone as disfigured as I am?" "Disfigured? You mean that handsome scar? The one you earned from saving the whole of Pern from thread?" She exclaimed.

"Thank's Karaya, you really are a sweet person" E'naer said with unconvinced but grateful tone. "Well, at least I try to be." She smiled in hopes of getting him to smile.

E'naer did answer her smile with his own, and then he glanced the clock. "Shells, that much already. I'm afraid I have to dash off. It was nice catching up with you. We really should talk more often," he said. "You bet." She smiled.
