Description: Fieayz and Alrog write to each other
Location: Garnet Valley Hold
Date: month 2, day 2 of Turn 4
So, she had told Daynar she would behave, but now Arva had clutched, there was nothing that said she couldn't write Alrog a letter.
Going back up to her room, the young woman scribbled a quick note.
"Alrog," she began daringly.
"I just wanted to write and say how much I enjoyed your company at Turn's End. It was a pleasure to spend the evening with you, even if Hallmaster Daynar did disrupt it. I hope, perhaps you don't think me too forward in writing this, but I'd like to see you again ~ Fieayz"
Wrapping it into a message tube, she tied it into something that her gold could carry. "Arva, find Alrog, okay?"
The gold gave a chirp, and popped /between/.
Alrog had a meeting with the mine foreman. "So, yeah, were're working westwards now. Looks pretty promising and the ground's not so wet there," the miner said and pointed tunnels on the large map of the mines. Lapis' greeting chirp made Alrog to look around and he noticed Arva. "Hi, there, beauty. Come here!"
"Is that a gold firelizard?" the miner gawked her.
"Yes, she is," Alrog replied, still trying to get her near enough to get the message.
Arva gave a cheep, and preened at being recognised. She came closer, allowing the young man to remove the message. Expectantly she looked up at him, hoping for a treat.
Alrog removed the message and went to fetch a meat for her. As a flit owner, he always had some in hand and he offered Arva a generous piece.
Arva gave a 'Thank you' chirp before disappearing /between/ to her mistress once more. The gold was proud of herself for doing her duty.
"If you excuse me, I need to reply to this," Alrog said to the miner. "Of course, we can continue after the lunch," the man replied and left the young holder alone. He read the letter and started to write an answer.
"Dear Fieayz," he stopped after that to consider if it was too familiar but let it be in the end. "I'm glad to hear about you. I enjoyed your company too. I wish Master Daynar hasn't been too hard on you. I saddens me to think you have troubles because of me. I would love to see you again. Yours, Alrog." He then called his own flit. Lapis Lazul came, with a spoon on his mouth. Alrog sighed and spent fifteen minutes luring him to drop the spoon and accept the message tube. The blue could be difficult from time to time.
Finally he was able to send him to Fieayz and Arva. The blue was more likely to find the Queen than the girl.
"Arva!" Fieayz summoned the gold, but as she did, the gold passed on a picture of a blue. "He's replied!" She grinned as the blue emerged. "Can you give me that?" she asked of him. luring him with a piece of meatroll.
Eventually she got the note, and read it, a smile crossing her face. Maybe things wouldn't be so bad after all.
Lapis returned to his owner, proud and stomach full of meatroll.
