Balisor's long awaited arrival to Willet Grove had gone quite smoothly so far and Sorsha was pleased that he had not objected to finalizing the marriage contract with Serend. The two had spent the afternoon talking business, and she was looking forward to the evening meal where she could finally spend some time with her father.

"There's my girl." Balisor greeted his daughter with a kiss upon her forehead before settling down in the seat beside her. Railen had come in behind him and took the seat on her other side.

Sorsha grinned, it was nice having both of the men she loved by her side. "Did Railen show you the runner I've been learning to ride on? She's a beauty."

"Ah, yes, he did." He smiled down at the young man who returned the gesture and nodded.

"We plan on breeding her next turn." Railen stated softly.

She tried to remember what she'd been taught about the lines, "With Tobi, so that they'll have white or gray hides, long legs, and wide chests."

Balisor chuckled and patted his daughter's arm gently. "I'm sure they'll produce fine children." He reached out to take his cup and lifted it to his lips to draw a long sip. "Well now." He stated after he'd quenched his immediate thirst, "You'll be glad to know that the contract has been finalised." He glanced over to the door. Serend and his wife hadn't hadn't arrived as of yet, evidently taking care of last minute issues of some sort or another.

Sorsha grinned, Railen had already told her, but she was just happy about the subject in general. "Can we get married on your ship? Just like you and mama did?" it was her one big wish for the simple ceremony, and she was in a rush to get it approved.

"If that's what you want, of course." Balisor laughed.

Railen smiled over at Sorsha. "So can we talk about _when_ we're going to do that now?"

"How about Turn's End?" she suggested, looked between both her father and fiance, "We could sail to one of the larger Holds with a harper and do the ceremony and celebration all in one."

"That sounds very nice," Karai agreed as she came in on Serend's arm. The platters followed them, and they were all soon sitting down with food on the table.

"That long?" Railen couldn't hide his disappointment and Serend managed to hold back a chuckle at the boy's expression.

Sorsha took his hand and gave it a squeeze. "It's only a month, and we'll be traveling for almost a sevenday of it. I'm worth the wait aren't I?"

"That's not the issue." Railen wasn't about to go into detail as to what the issue was - especially not in front of his parents! "But if I must, I must." He sighed and smiled to her. Serend gave his wife a knowing look coupled with a grin.

"Can I go too Sorsha?" Raise pleaded as only a five turn could could. "Please, pretty please?"

Karai chuckled and patted her daughter's head, "We'll all go, don't worry. And you'll get your first ship ride." She knew that Sorsha had been filling Raise and Lenlee's head full of her sea tales.

Balisor chuckled at the younger girl's enthusiasm. "Perhaps we'll even give you a chance at the wheel, eh little one?"

"You'll be an excellent helmsman." Sorsha assured the girl, whose eyes had turned large. She took a roll from the basket that Railen offered her, then passed it on to her father.

Serened passed on the and simply took in the conversation, remaining quiet. His wife talked enough for both of them - as did Sorsha - and he was content to let them carry the conversation.

"If you would like, sir." Railen suggested as he took up the platter of tubers and passed it along, "I can take you out for a ride with us tomorrow. Sorsha and I go as often as we can."

"Oh I don't know about that." Balisor shook his head. "I'm a seaman! I have sea legs, not beast legs!"

Sorsha laughed, "I got my beast legs father, you'll do fine. And you can see the traps I've made. I had to get a bit creative to keep the river fish in."

Railen sincerely hoped no one mentioned her little tumble into the river. That probably wouldn't go over well at all, not to mention Balisor might think he couldn't keep Sorsha safe and cancel the contract.

"Well, I'll think on it." Balisor conceded after the moment, then laughed. "After dinner. Right now, the only thing I want to think about is food."
