Description: P'veas' green rises, to be chased by the bronzes of Ar'lis, K'reyel and
M'galec
Location: River Bluff Weyr
Date: month 8, day 9 of Turn 3
Despite the rain, P'veas was hot. Hot and sticky. Mavikath was no help, she merely grumbled about needing sleep, and wanting to be left alone.
After eight turns, her rider knew the signs, sometime soon, she would rise. Her hide was shining more than usual, and that was a sure sign it was imminent. He smiled to himself, in anticipation of what was to come.
Making his way slowly to the flight rooms, he lounged against the wall, knowing that any moment now, she would wake, and call the males to her.
Zylarth rumbled deep in his throat, sensing that a green was coming into heat. His whirling gaze pierced through the rain, searching, as the lust began to grow within him.
}: M'galec, a green is about to rise, and she is beautiful... :{ the bronze murmered to his rider.
**Then chase her, you bronze flirt,** his rider chuckled as he put his hides down. It was the first time since they had moved to their new home that Dwarkanath had chosen to chase a green, and he would not begrudge him his chance to make himself feel at home with the greens.
}:They come. I will give them a chase to remember.:{ With those words, Mavikath firstly announced her awakening, and then her rising. With a loud cry, shattering the stillness around her she left her ledge, taking flight over the weyrbowl.
Which was where K'reyel spotted the events. Not recognising the dragon himself, but aware that Erdenth did, and was interested, he wasn't going to stop him from participating.
Zylarth let out an answering roar to the lusty green's challenge and shot off his ledge after her.
Dwarkanath, as a larger bronze, had found long before that if he needed to have as fast a start as possible if he hoped to compete with the smaller and faster bronzes. He was watching the green intently, watching for that perfect moment when her muscles bunched to launch her into the sky. When that moment came, he was ready. He launched his body into the air almost simultaneously as Mavikath. The bronze bugled his challenge and triumph. It was a good start. He would fly well.
Last into the air was Erdenth. He beat his wings powerfully, wanting to catch the lovely green ahead.
Mavikath risked a glance behind her, pleased by the chasing pack. }:Come and get me ,{ she teased.
Spreading his wings wider to catch the thermal, Zylarth spun swiftly up, calling back to her with seductive croons of his own.
Dwarkanath took as long of strokes as would keep him towards the front of the pack, and yet not expend all his energy in one long burt. He had to pace himself. He had to stay towards the front, to give her a chance to admire his strength and his beauty, but stamina was more important than a quick and impressive display of speed.
Mavikath wasn't shy, she knew what she wanted, and today it was one of those oh so magnificent bronzes chasing her. No need for the smaller dragons today, only a bronze would do, but which one?
She glanced back over at them, as she caught a thermal and spun around.
Not Erdenth today, she knew him too well, and possibly not Zylarth either.
That left only one, the new one. Time to find out if his strength was as good as his appearance.
Dwarkanath watched the green dance, soar, tease them. The bronze decided this was his moment to make a move. He bugled out a challenge, just daring her outfly him. His great wings brought him closer, closer, closer to the prize that seemed to be just waiting for him to claim.
Choice made, Mavikath placed herself so that the bronze could not miss her. }:Dwarkanath, I choose you!:{ On the ground P'veas fell into waiting arms, all that mattered now was being one with his dragon.
