Date: month 4, day 12 of Turn 5
Since marrying Corowal, Felyna had taken an even stronger interest in the various romantic entanglements of the Hold. And Sarban had taken a stronger interest in _her_. He always seemed to not _quite_ believe she was doing the best for the Hold, and for Corowal and his family. Those two things together had made her little nose turn up with a brilliant idea. Sarban needed to get married. There was a young woman at the Hold, Chali, who would be just perfect for Sarban. She was going to mention it to Corowal and see what he thought.
"Corowal, husband?" She knocked on his partially open door, hoping she wasn't disturbing him.
"Get in, my dear," Corowal invited and pushed the hides aside. They were routine stuff and he was glad of the break.
"Hello, Corowal." She said softly, adding that husky tone that showed she was happy to see him. She came right around the desk and kissed him lightly, leaning in close enough that she was tempted to sit right on his lap. She glanced at the door and sighed a bit. Open. That meant no sitting on the Lord Holder's lap.
She stayed near though, leaning against the desk. "Glad of the interruption are you?" She smiled, waving one slender hand toward the piles of hidework.
"Yes," Corowal replied shortly. He showed his tongue at the hide pile. "Sarban keeps bringing them in. He needs a break or distraction."
She lay her hand on his arm for a moment, attempting to ease the tension there, and leaned down to kiss his cheek again. "Well, its a lucky thing you married me, then, love. Sarban was _just_ who I wanted to discuss."
"Oh?" Corowal asked.
She nodded and took a more normal seat when he didn't seem too interested in playing her little game. She smiled though, her eyes sparkling with happiness. "I think he needs to get married, and I have just the girl in mind for him. What do you think?"
"I agree on the marriage. He's been alone for too long time. First looking after his mother and now she's passed away... it's high time someone else looks after him. He deserves bit of a family happiness," Corowal said. "Who do you have in your mind?"
"I was thinking of that young girl, Chali. Her parents would like to find a good marriage for her, and Sarban is a great choice for her. She is pretty enough, and she seems trained well enough. What do you think, Corowal?"
"As long as all parties agree to it," Corowal shrugged. He really didn't care who it was.
She nodded and stood up. "Very well, my Lord. I will see to it." She had really hoped for a little more ..fun... from him now that they were married, but perhaps if she'd wanted that, she shouldn't have married this particular man. "Was there anything else I could do for you?"
"Lot's of things, but most won't be proper just right now. Just don't drive poor Sarban up to the wall when you start arranging his marriage," Corowal said with slightly naughty smile.
Felyna's smile was unabashed and warm, and lit up her entire face. Her cheeks, though, blushed bright red. She was unable to stop that reaction. Proper was too ingrained in her, despite her recent adventures into "improper". Her eyes sparkled with mischief of her own and she leaned down to kiss his cheek in farewell, but took her time about it. "Well, we could shut the door." She chuckled softly, enjoying teasing him. Besides, this sort of behavior is what her mother had encouraged her to _do_ once married - to keep his attention, she said. The funny thing was, Felyna had found herself pleased by the bedchamber and not ashamed at all. That in itself was interesting. Seeing how far she could go, and how much of Corowal's attention she could keep was going to prove _just_ as interesting. She went on with a look that said 'I can't help it if I want the best for him'. "I will _try_ not to drive him up the wall, but no promises!"
"I wonder if I should warn him or not," Corowal's eyes sparkled with amusement. He didn't regret marrying Felyna, although she had proved to be bit meddlesome time to time. However, giving her something to do, like this, would keep her attention off from other things. From Erassa, for one.
The Lord Holder wasn't sure what he felt for the fostermother, but he was sure he didn't want to lose her either.
Felyna rolled her eyes at her husband. She was not _that_ bad. "I'm simply looking out for your interests, my Lord. If you wanted a passive wife, you should have chosen someone else!' Luckily, she was focused on Sarban at the moment and had no idea of her husband's true interests in their fostermother. That would have resulted in the conversation ending an entirely different way. "I'll see you tonight, husband." She said as she headed for the door, a promise in the words.
"I'll quit the work early," Corowal promised on his behalf.
