Az'uka had headed down across the Weyr bowl, he was a little behind in his self appointed duties as a dragonrider; in fact he thought with a laugh, if my Weyrlingmaster caught me I'd be dead by now. Truth to be told he hadn't checked his riding straps recently and was kind of glad no one had caught him. What he would have liked to have told people was that he'd been too busy, but that wasn't true. He found a quiet spot to sit and looking down at the worn interiors of them. He sighed; he had a lot of work to do.

E'naer watched the new bluerider, well, new to him anyway, with certain interest. He was tossing a coin in his mind: go to talk with him, don't go...

Reaching back for his knife, Az'uka gave it a flick and pulled out some of the more worn stitches, maybe he could get another sevenday or two out of the straps if he removed the worse parts. Then again he should start making a new pair for when this one gave out on him, or he'd risk being grounded.

Go talk with him won. The greenrider got up and strolled leisurely to him. "Hello there; stranger. Are you new here in Dragonsfall? I don't remember seeing you and I know all blueriders," E'naer smiled warmly.

Az'uka looked up seeing the other rider for the first time. He placed his ridding straps and knife to one side and stood up. "Yes, I just got in from Far Island Weyr, I guess I'm the new recruit." He said with something that might have been a chuckle if he was trying to embarrass himself.

"Pleased to meet you. Working on your straps?" E'naer said.

"Yeah the work on them is perhaps a little over due, my Weyrlingmaster would have me skinned if he found out how late I left them" He replied in a joking manner, of course he have _no idea_ that En'aer was the Weyrlingmaster's third here at Dragons Fall Weyr. "It's nice to meet you too E'naer" He added.

"You really left it to the last moment. There's reason why the straps should be mended regularly," E'naer remarked. "It's called safety. You wouldn't want the strap to snap when you're high in the air and middle of a spiral twist."

"True, I guess I let it slip a little" He looked over at the green rider. "Especially for spiral twists, Nilzuth likes to make his own rules during those, then again I love a challenge, bit I should stop pushing my limits as far as safety goes..."

"Yes, I would hate to lose bluerider like you," E'naer said flirtingly.

Az'uka blinked at little and looked at E'naer and gave his head a little shake. "I think I could name a Wingleader or too who might not agree with you" He caught the flirting undertone, if only _just_. He just wasn't sure what to say too it, it was unexpected and had caught him off guard.

E'naer noticed his uncertainty and thought it was because of his scars. He felt disappointed. "Tsk, tsk, can't be that bad," he said teasingly, this time without the flirt. If the bluerider wasn't interested, he would settle being friendly.

He laughed at little. "I've pulled a few bad ones, why a greenrider like you might have a hard time trying to out manoeuvre us" Az'uka taunted a little, sure he was game, either way he looked up at the ridges briefly and saw his dragon trying to nab the attention of a green.

Not that Eillispeth needed any trying. She was more than happy to flirt with anybody male. "So, do you like Dragonsfalls?" E'naer asked.

"To be honest I had no real idea what to expect when I got here, but every one has bee friendly, and I think this is more a home than anywhere else I've been" After the statement he fell a little quiet and then laughed. "Forgive the Harper like talk" He was referring to the fact that even though he'd answered it wasn't a real answer, well not one with any real substance.

E'naer chuckled. "Well, I leave you to your straps. If you want someone to talk to or other company, look me up," the greenrider said.

Az'uka gave a small laugh of his own then leaned over and gave the greenrider ad friendly tap on the nose and winked. "That I will friend"

E'naer smiled warmly. "See you later," he said, making mental note of staying in touch with him. Az'uka seemed like an interesting fellow.
