Description: Fieayz writes to her father Fielton to tell him that she is settled at the Smith Hall

Date: month 8, day 18 of Turn 3
The hide lay in front of her as she read the words back.
"Papa, I arrived safely. D'gar and Ranateth deserved their thanks. They were ever so good when we got here. As was Hallmaster Daynar, he had his daughter Otrina show me the rooms which they've set up for me. It's nice here. Arva seems to be beginning to settle in as well."
"Hallmaster Daynar says that he will be organising a his son to visit - do you remember Anar? The Harper. I'm looking forward to that. Otrina and I will be helping to organize it." Well, they'd been told that they were to take over his wife's duties, so that was a fair statement.
"I must send this now, Arva looks impatient. Please write back soon. Love, Fieayz."

The flit arrived at Vintner Hall and delivered her message, and was rewarded with a bit of leftover meatroll and a stern look. "Stay here, Arva. I want to send a letter back."
Arva seemed content to pick at the leftovers of his meal, so Fielton opened the letter and scanned it, a smile coming to his face. So it seemed Fieayz had settled in well. That was one weight off his mind, at least! Daynar could be trusted to keep unhealthy influences away from her, so Fielton felt confident that there would be no more visits from friends from the weyr.
Pulling out a fresh sheet from under the report he was working on, Fielton picked up his pen and scribbled out a hasty reply.

Fieayz, I'm glad to hear that you've settled in well. I remember Anar well, he seemed like a fine young man. Remember your manners during his visit and do your best to organize it well and make a good impression.
Please give my regards to Master Daynar and tell him that I'm sorry for the loss he suffered. I've heard unsettling rumours about people disappearing around Garnet Valley territory, so you stay inside the Hall and obey Master Daynar in all things. I'm sure he'll keep an eye on you.
I look forward to future letters.

As Arva returned to her, Fieayz took the message and read it back, remembering to keep the hide for later re-use. At least her father had replied to her, which was the main thing. She made a mental note to write back after the dinner, to let him know how it went.
