Ioven stared up at the ceiling, his blood still racing and his breath
still coming hard. Every nerve end seemed to be humming, and his mind
was fogged by a cocktail of chemicals racing through his veins to the
point that there was only one thought that could form clearly in his
mind - **Three turns...** He hadn't felt this way in nearly three
turns! How could he have forgotten how sharding good this all felt? He
must have forgotten, for how else could he have thought delaying this
feeling would be a _good_ idea? Three turns of waiting... And now he
didn't have to wait anymore...
Parale was still dazzled by her very first experience with marital
relations. Ioven might not be the best at it, but she didn't know that.
Her body had trembled for a long while and she still couldn't catch a
real thought in her head. Her chest heaved and sweat was everywhere. She
could smell him on her and that pleased and thrilled her. No longer a
virgin, the proof was on the sheets if anyone cared to look. **I wonder
if he liked it** was the first thought on her mind and she glanced up at
him, trying to tell if this was going to be her last experience as well.
Her arm rested across his.
He shifted finally, rolling onto his side next to her. Almost shyly he
lifted his eyes to hers. "Are you all right?" he asked softly, his arm
still under hers. Ioven was sure it hadn't been his best performance.
He had felt clumsy from lack of practice and urgent need, though at the
time it was only a minor thought in his head. Now, he worried he might
have frightened, or worse yet, really hurt her.
"I think so..if my heart would stop racing," she answered quickly. "Was
that..did you....was it nice?" she fished for approval. Parale had known
the mechanics of the act, but no one had really told her what one could
do to make it pleasurable.
Ioven was surprised by the question. His brow furrowed a bit. Why was
she asking _him_? Did she really not know if she liked it or not? "It
was... very nice. I thought." **Wonderful, in fact,** though he wasn't
going to tell her how much he enjoyed it if _she_ didn't at least like
some of the experience. "But, did you think it was nice? I mean... I
didn't hurt you too much, did I?"
"There was a little at first but..I didn't think about it much." She
turned over, facing him then, pulling the sheet up against her out of
habit. "I guess I never... I mean Apeline said it was nice, but I didn't
know that it was like _that_." Once she received his compliment, she
was much more at ease.
He still wasn't sure what she was saying. "Was 'that' good? At all?"
"I guess what I'm trying to say.." A blush began to creep along her
skin. "If this is how you make babies..if I'm not barren..you might end
up with quite a few of them."
"That means you want to do it again sometime?" he asked, thinking that
was probably what she was trying to tell him.
"Well yes if you want to." She hid her face in his chest wondering if
that made her some wanton Weyr floozy.
"Tonight?" he asked, mulling over the possibility that he just might be
able to do it again in a little while. And Faranth knew he would love
to do it again...
She hadn't expected that answer. Parale didn't realize how sore she
might be the next day, so she gave him an honest answer. "Well..that
would be nice." She was pretty sure that 'That would make my toes curl'
was gutter talk.
Ioven smiled, the thought that getting married was a good idea for
himself as well flashing through his mind. A man had needs, and it
wasn't good to deny himself for this long, he decided. Three turns...
"I think the next time would be better." He wouldn't have the same
pressure built up inside.
She allowed her hands to drift across his chest, learning the feel of
him and being curious. He was so different from her. "It feels like..the
ocean. Sort of like a pounding and then the waves crash."
"That's... That's true." The rhythmic image she conjured up began
playing in his mind as her fingers caressed his skin. Swallowing hard,
his own fingers began to do a bit of exploring, remembering how Narys
wanted to be touched and wondering if Parale would be the same. "I
always thought of it more like a kettle on the stove, with the heat
slowly rising until finally the pressure is too much."
"That makes sense too," she agreed pulling herself near him. "Is it
always the same?"
She really was innocent, he thought, as his body began to react again to
her proximity. He and Narys had learned together, but now he felt
rather expert, and in a way, that made him feel powerful and confident.
It thrilled him a little. "No. There are many ways to do it. You try
different things. Some you like, some not so much. You kind of learn
how to make each other happy as you go."
"Oh..so you're going to show me then right?" she asked, wanting to do it
the right way.
"Well, you'll show me sometimes too. I can only know what you want me
to do if you tell me." That had been a lesson he and Narys had learned
over their turns together.
She frowned. "But I don't know _anything_." They were going to be in a
bad way if he was depending on her.
He chuckled softly. Were he and Narys this clueless on their wedding
night? They probably had been. "You'll know what you like. You'll
know what you want me to do again, right? Was there anything I did that
you _really_ liked?"
She thought about that. "Well..quite a bit. When you put your mouth
there.." She gestured toward her breasts.
Lucky for her, that was one of his favorites too. He was glad that her
habit of telling him exactly what was on her mind seemed to transfer to
their bed as well. It boded well for them, he thought. And he could
think of no reason to delay practicing rewarding her for speaking her
mind. "Well, then, let's just start there, then, shall we?"
