K'mai

K'mai

The bluerider had managed an entire skin of wine. The next day was a
restday and he was bone tired from all of his exertions. Feeling lighthearted,
he went in search of someone he thought might be entertaining. Standing
outside K'mai's weyr, he shouted, "You home?"

After a moment the door opened. "Ah, E'rae. Not quite who I was
expecting, but I won't turn you -- or your wine skin -- away."

"A very good choice." Walking inside the weyr, he stopped, looking for
a place to sit. "Seeing as how tomorrow is a restday, I am now looking for
some trouble to get into or at least something to do before I fall asleep."

K'mai flopped down in a chair. "I was hoping you weren't expecting a
quiet evening. I have a few friends coming over and we will all be
happy to provide both trouble and something to do before bed."

"Sounds wonderful. Might have to work fast, though. My eyes are already
drooping." He took a bit of the drink for himself, then set the skin down on
a table before finding a chair for himself.

K'mai laughed. "Am I boring you already?"

"Nah, I'm just tired. Wing stuff was awful today. Rookie almost flamed half
of us." He was glad that he had been on his game.

"Ouch." K'mai took the wine skin and poured himself a glass. "My
friends and I will do our best to take your mind off it."

"So who is this friend?" He looked around, wondering if there was an invisible
person somewhere that he just wasn't seeing.

"They should be here any minute. They're always late." K'mai rolled
his eyes. "I thought it was them when you knocked." And then, on cue,
someone knocked on the door. K'mai answered it and three people walked
in, a man and two women.

Lorolla, one of the Lower Caverns women, was the first to walk into the weyr.
Her eyes were bright and her curvy frame bounced slightly as she walked. Smiling
to herself, she greeted K'mai. "Hi there! And who is this?" she turned
in E'rae's direction.

"This is E'rae. He stopped by, looking for some entertainment," K'mai told her.

"Entertainment, huh? We'll be sure not to disappoint," W'lar said with a grin.

"And he has wine.." the third guest noticed, a woman by the name of Gregin. She
was a journeyman weaver.

E'rae listened to all of this, recognizing W'lar slightly. "Aye so what's on the
agenda?"

"First we're going to have a few drinks, chat a little, get nice and
comfortable." K'mai took a sip from his glass. "Then we're going to
find out how many interesting positions we can get into." Oh how he
loved the night before a restday.

E'rae passed the wine around as they all found seats. Once everyone was properly
lubricated, tongues loosened. "So, you're in the Weyrleader's Wing?"
Lorolla asked.

"Aye, been so for a lot of turns now," he replied, stretching his left leg out.

"Is there extra pressure, being in that Wing?" W'lar asked, filling
his glass again.

"Well I don't know since I don't have anything to compare it to, but
it is hard when both your Wingleader and Wingsecond have been Weyrleaders.
U'das has been too, though," E'rae considered despite the hazy feeling that was
coming over him.

"Is it confusing to have your 'Leader and 'Second keep switching
positions?" K'mai asked, then he snickered.

"Honestly, it's about the same difference either way, though they'd
hate to admit it." He shrugged, taking a pull himself and looking at W'lar.

Obviously E'rae didn't get the joke. K'mai finished his glass and
slipped out of his chair. Sitting by himself was getting lonely. He
squeezed in next to Lorolla and ran a hand up her leg.

She giggled, encouraging his attentions, putting a hand in his hair.
"So, you owe me..after the last time."

"This is one debt I'll be happy to pay." He bent to kiss along her neck.

Moving, she gave him better access, her eyes watching Gregin, who smiled
slightly. E'rae figured out the turn things were taking and decided he hadn't
let loose in a bit. "So W'lar, tell me about your dragon?"

"So it's my dragon you're interested in?" The rider mock-pouted. "What
about me?"

"Usually a man will talk more about his dragon than himself, so I'm trying to
initiate conversation. I wouldn't do that if I weren't interested," he explained
slowly.

W'lar smiled. "Ah, I see. My blue is a shameless flirt, much like his rider."

"Hmm..Leith's probably worse." Looking at the other folks around the room,
he stood up, took a long drink, and handed K'mai the skin. "Wish we had music."

"You like mood music?" K'mai now had Lorolla on his lap and offered
her the skin. "I didn't think to invite a harper."

"Eh well..I can't sing so that's a bust." Walking over to the other rider, he
leaned in to smell W'lar, not being very obvious about it.

Lorolla took it and had herself a drink, a few drops of the wine staining her
lips. Her tongue came out to lick them, as she put the skin down. "Mmm thank
you."

"You're welcome." K'mai pulled her down for a kiss.

"Well now I'm jealous. Is anyone going to sit in my lap?" W'lar pouted
as he sipped his drink.

"I think I'm a little big for that," the bluerider whispered in his ear.

W'lar batted his eyelashes at E'rae. "Can I sit in your lap then?" He
wasn't much smaller but he thought he'd give it a try.

E'rae sighed and considered just how that might be done. "Aye but you better
find me a bigger cushion to sit on cause that chair is not going to hold us."

"The couch should do." W'lar stood and ran a hand down E'rae's chest
before leading him the few short steps to the couch.

The bluerider followed his lead, forgetting that there were other people in the
room until he heard a squeal come from Lorolla. Gregin was pouring
wine, watching the rest of the inhabitants, seemingly trying to make
up her mind.

Sitting down with a plop, E'rae allowed W'lar to set the tone, his
eyes coming up to meet his.

W'lar slowly straddled E'rae, wiggling a little as he settled into his
lap. "Hm. I think this will do just fine." He leaned down for a kiss.

K'mai glanced over at the pair and smiled before returning his
attention to Lorolla. He pulled the edge of her shirt down and kissed
her bare shoulder. "I can't remember, are you the private type, or
not?"

"I'm whatever you want me to be.." she answered eagerly. Lorolla
was one of the Lower Caverns women that was content to bear children
who could one day Stand for the Weyr.

Returning the kiss, E'rae felt the tension and the weariness ebb from his
body, replaced with the need he had ignored for far too long except for a
greenflight here and there. His hands travelled up W'lar's body, seeking
the differences he'd never find holding a female.

W'lar made a low sound of appreciation and slipped his fingers under
E'rae's shirt. He had worried that E'rae might not be any fun, but things
were looking promising now.

"You can use my bed if you want E'rae," K'mai said as his hands were
reacquainting themselves with Lorolla's body. "Or we can all stay
right here." He motioned for Gregin to join them.

"Aye then.." He didn't want to move just then, but later he would. E'rae
was still private about some things, at times.
