Description: Jaylene and Jayonne try to hook their brother up with P'veas
Location: River Bluff Weyr
Date: month 2, day 14 of Turn 6
Notes: Possible PG-17 due to rude language...Jaylene and brothers can't
open their mouths lately without getting this one slapped on them
"Now, what ever you do_do_not_have that shifty look on your face,"
Jayonne warned his sister, knowing as everyone else did, that when she
was scheming it showed. He then looked over to P'veas and
straightened J'zen's tunic. "Come on, you gotta look halfway decent."
P'veas raised a hand in a wave as he saw the trio approaching. "There's
plenty of room here," he called.
"Hey guys, look, it's P'veas!" Jaylene steered their small group over
to the greenrider. Inwardly, Jayonne groaned, knowing his sister was
as transparent as a proddy Queen. Wrapping an arm around his brother,
he gave him an apologetic shrug of the shoulders.
"Hey P'veas," J'zen said as they all sat down. He knew his sister was
up to something, but didn't know what it was. Probably she was going
to set poor P'veas here up on some blind date.
"J'zen," said the greenrider with a nod. "Wingthird," he said as Jaylene sat
down.
"Wingthird? Wingthird?? P'veas, snap out of it, it's me, Jaylene!!
I'm not your wingthird or anything!" She about fell down laughing.
Shards, please say_this_was a passing thing! The last thing she
needed was all her mates getting formal with her just because she had
a promotion.
He couldn't resist it and laughed too. "Shards Jaylene, don't you know when
I'm teasing you?"
She shot him a dirty look and grumbled. J'zen laughed and poked her
shoulder before settling himself down beside P'veas and poring his
sister a drink. Jayonne nodded at the greenrider and said, "heya
P'veas."
"Jayonne, I'm guessing these reprobates dragged you out with them then?"
"Of course..." The youngest sibling mock sighed and grinned at the
greenrider. "So how you getting on? Got any gossip about our sis's
job performance as a third?"
"Not yet, but I know a few blueriders in her wing," he joked. "Wonder what
they'd tell me for a pint or two?"
"Hmm..you think it'd take a pint?" J'zen teased and winked at him.
"Well what would it take you? shot back P'veas. "Ale, a skin of good wine,
or the visual to the best beach I know."
"Mindblowing sex," J'zen deadpanned back.
"I should have expected that," P'veas said equally straight-faced. He turned
to give Jaylene a wicked grin before giving J'zen his attention again. "Your
place or mine?"
"How easy do you think I am?"
Very easy, Jayonne mouthed to P'veas, winking.
"I'm guessing that would depend," teased P'veas.
"On what?" J'zen asked. Behind him, Jayonne was holding his hands out
wide and mouthing something rude about size.
It was hard not to laugh at what Jayonne was implying, but he kept his face
very straight. "You could always let me find out, I'm a big boy now or so
they say!"
"You're a big boy? That makes it sound like you were once small?"
J'zen eyed him with one eyebrow raised.
"Weren't you when you were born?"
"Nah, I was born a slammer."
"We all grow in different ways."
"Do you?" Jaylene asked and leaned over the table to look at P'veas' lap.
"I bet you'd just love to know about that, wouldn't you?" P'veas' tone was
light as he glanced at the siblings. "Somethings though... Well lets just
say I know you have a vivid imagination."
"Me? Active imagination?" Jaylene fened innocence.
"More like just an active love life," Jayonne added, laughing when she
stuck her tongue out at him.
"So maybe it should be your sister telling us the good stories then,"it was
a slight change of subject, one that might give the greenriders a chance to
look J'zen over again.
"Okay, what do you want to know?" Jaylene had a wicked gleam in her eye.
"The most scandalous thing you can tell us."
"About me, or J'zen here?" She had plenty for both.
"Now..." P'veas paused to think. "Which would be the most interesting?"
Both Jaylene and Jayonne looked pointedly to J'zen.
"Go on then," P'veas encouraged as he poured some drinks. "Amuse us all
tonight."
"How about his first Flight," Jayonne asked Jaylene, ignoring his
brother who was blushing and trying to stop them.
The woman looked gleeful at that. "Ah yes, the time he went in a
virgin and came out having worn out the poor blue rider that caught
him!" She eyed P'veas. "You, of course, want to hear this one,
right?"
"Will it make him blush?"
"He's already blushing." Jayonne nodded to his older brother, who
indeed, was blushing prettily.
"Should we spare him?" P'veas looked to Jayonne.
"Nah..." He shook his head.
"Hey! Stop you two," protested J'zen, trying to wave them off.
"Ignoring him, Jaylene added, "that poor bluerider looked like some
Holder who'd spent days in the saddle. Walked funny for days and
days. Maybe you want a demonstration?" She eyed P'veas.
"I think we've all been there? Right?" P'veas looked to the others for
confirmation.
"Have we?" Jayonne looked at his siblings.
J'zen took the opening to ask, "so..you've been there too? Care to
tell us about it?"
"Lets just say that people knew what I'd been up to for a good while."
"I think mum knew what Jaylene was up to in the womb," quipped Jayonne.
"And don't you have any stories to tell Jayonne?"
"Jayonne? Butter wouldn't melt in his mouth, Jayonne?" Jaylene sat
back and laughed. "No, he's always been a good boy."
"Have you?"
Jayonne just nodded and put his hand over his heart.
"So tell us the same in a turn or so?" P'veas turned to Jaylene, "What do
you reckon, can he be good for that long?"
"Yeah, someone has to keep the family honour."
"What's it worth?"
"Oi! That's our mother you're talking about." J'zen laughed and
lightly punched P'veas' arm.
"Well you could come and tell me some of your stories," suggested P'veas.
"Yes, but can you make it worth my time?" J'zen countered.
"Try me and find out." That was the only response worth making, thought P'veas.
"A bottle of the finest white and some candles, and I'm yours," was
all that J'zen replied.
"Now that," P'veas said. "Can be organised."
"Good." J'zen stood up and smiled down at P'veas. "You coming or
not?" He had known for a while he was going home with P'veas, he just
didn't want to be too easy to get.
P'veas grinned and got to his feet. "Jaylene, Jayonne, I think it's
time for me to go, and make a new story happen."
The two watched them leave and Jaylene muttered, "why do we always end
up with just the two of us sitting here?"
"Dunno, but that boy is bringing down the family name," Jayonne teased.
