Location: Emerald Falls Hold
Date: month 2, day 1 of Turn 6
J'ren's bronze swept over the hold, then angled back to circle around
and finally come to a landing outside of the hold. The rider patted
his bronze, then unstrapped himself and lowered down to the ground.
He pulled off his gloves and undid his jacket as he strode toward the
Hold proper. He didn't get to escort Rhosyn to the Dolphin Cove
hatching, but there was someone else he wouldn't mind taking either.
Of course, J'ren wasn't particularly familiar with the hold, so he had
to stop and ask directions on multiple occasions. Finally he found
the woman in a room where several foster mothers had congregated and
their children were playing together. He grinned when he saw her and
crossed over to stop, giving a small bow. "Hello Lisadi."
She looked up when she heard her name and then her face lit up into a
smile. "J'ren," she greeted him, standing and walking to him. "I
didn't know if I'd run into you again or not. What brings you back to
Emerald Falls?" She couldn't hide the flicker of something that had
leapt inside her when she'd seen him, _here_, of all places. It wasn't
like she was in a common area, but rather he must have had to seek her
ought. She wondered why.
"Actually, I came to see you." J'ren admitted with a grin. He glanced
around and then held out his arm. "Would you care to take a brief walk,
ma'am? I've a question for you."
"Me?" Lisadi asked, feeling a smile come to her lips at the thought
that he might have come all this way just to see her. "Sure," she said,
then turning back to the others gathered, she asked them if they could
watch the children for a bit. The ladies simply smiled and winked at
her, which only caused her to blush slightly. Of course he wasn't her
for anything like _that_, but she didn't have the time to tell the
others that at the moment. "Perhaps we could take a short walk to the
gardens. There's an exit right down this corridor if you'd like?"
J'ren merely winked back at the women before responding to the
specific one he came to see. "Sounds fine to me." The bronzerider
waited for Lisadi to take his arm and led her out into the corridor.
"This way?" He asked, indicating a door off to the left that must lead
outside.
"Yes," she replied, taking his arm with ease. "It _is_ nice to see you
again. I still feel like I'm reliving that first dragonride sometimes
in my sleep. I've never felt anything quite so amazing." The weather
was pleasant as they walked outside and Lisadi pointed to a bench sat
between some bushes on one side of the garden.
"Would you like to go on another?" J'ren gave Lisadi a sidelong
glance. It had been a nice ride, but they hadn't gone /between/. That
would be a whole new adventure for her. "Dolphin Cove's hatching is
soon and I was wondering if you would like to attend."
"Really? Me?" Lisadi stared at him in shock for a moment. "Are you
sure they would let me in to something so important? I mean, it's not
like I'm anyone special?"
J'ren stopped and stared at her, then laughed. "I wouldn't necessarily
agree with that. Of course they would let you come! I think you would
enjoy it. I'm going to insist that you come til you say yes."
"Oh, most definitely yes," Lisadi said, her face lighting up with her
smile. "I've never seen a hatching before. I don't even know what it
would be like! Oh, this is just too amazing!" She turned those eager,
happy eyes to J'ren then moved forward and hugged him without a second
thought. "Thank you so much for inviting me. I'm sure you could have
taken anyone at all. I feel so honored."
J'ren couldn't help but chuckle and he returned the hug, but broke it
off before it looked like anything too intimate. He was in a hold,
after all, and she did have a reputation to keep intact. "Keep in mind
that while we have a guess on when the hatching will be, there's no
exact date. It will be at a moment's notice." J'ren pointed out.
"Perhaps you can go ahead and arrange care for your children?"
"I'll do that, good idea," she quickly replied. "I promise I'll be
ready whenever you come! I'm so very excited!" She knew she sounded a
bit like a young girl in her enthusiasm, but Lisadi just couldn't help
herself. She was living a life she'd never dreamed possible for her.
What more could still be in store for her future?
