After they were finished eating, the bluerider got up and walked
alongside J'zen. E'rae watched his step within the glow-lit tunnels
until they reached the Bowl. "Is your weyr accessible or..?"

"No, it's one of the ones high up, facing the sea. Gorgeous view, but
hard to get to quickly." The greenrider smiled and watched E'rae out
of the corner of his eyes.

"Ah well, your ride or mine then?" he asked as he looked up at the sky,
wondering if it was going to rain.

J'zen 'reached' out to Verlith but she was asleep. "It's going to have
to be yours."

"Hold on a moment, then." He stopped still and looked up.
**I need a ride**
}:Oh? Maybe I could call someone:{
**Leith, please come down here before I grow old**
}:I don't think it's that dire:{
**Oh it's dire. It's been sevendays**
}:Hold on:{

It was a few moments later when the bright blue dragon made his touchdown
in the sand. Leith shook his head and wings clear, then waited. "Your ride,"
E'rae gestured to J'zen.

"Cheers." He lightly took E'rae's hand to help him up and settled behind one of
Leith's neck ridges.

The bluerider got himself up and got them both quick strapped. "You'll have to
tell me where it is too.."

"Oh, Leith go up to the upper level on the sea front, about halfway
along. Jaylene used to live right by." He mocked pouted at that,
since his sister had moved to a bigger weyr with her promotion.

The blue took his time navigating, negotiating the winds that blew in
from the sea.
It wasn't long before he touched down on the ledge, however. Leith
furled his wings
quietly and walked as far in as he could to allow them to dismount. "Hold on.."
E'rae got down first, standing back to help J'zen if needed.

He didn't but why turn down the chance to be treated with some class?
He slid down the blue's shoulder, lightly holding E'rae's hand.
Coming down just in front of the taller man, he lightly kissed him on
the lips and stood back. "Thank you for the ride, Leith." Off in her
wallow, Verlith woke enough to croon a hello to Leith before falling
back asleep.

The blue gave a soft rumble in acknowledgement before he settled in.
E'rae waited for J'zen to lead him inside, not wanting to make assumptions.

J'zen caught that moment of waiting. "You're a gentleman, aren't you?"

"Holder upbringing, it never really fades away." He shrugged, putting his
hands into his trouser pockets.

"Nothing wrong with that. It makes a nice change from being pawed at
all the time." The dark haired man led E'rae into his weyr, and
indicated he take a seat. "It's small but hey, it's home. You want
anything to drink?"

"You got any cool water?" Of course at River Bluff, ice was a commodity
so it didn't often happen, but he could hope.

"This cool enough?" He handed the man a glass from a cool corner of
his weyr where he kept water, some beers, and a bottle of white wine.
He poured himself a glass of the white before curling up close to E'rae.

"Mmm thanks." He quickly drank and set the glass down, looking around the
weyr. "So how long have you been here?"

"Oh, about four turns?" J'zen scratched his head, thinking about it.
"Four..maybe five turns. No longer than that. Jaylene's weyr used to
be right next door...we were always fighting over men! Before that I
was in one of those really tiny ones right up at the very top. Been
there since being a senior Weyrling...so that was ages. I swear
in_that_weyr Verlith had to pretty much get into bed with me for the
two of us to fit in that place." as he talked he idly played with
E'rae's hair, twisting a curl or two around his fingers.

"Why would you be fighting with her over men? Ah right..blueriders."
He thought about himself and nodded, allowing J'zen's attentions.
"And before then? Where did you come from?"

"Born and bred here. Mum was a Holder girl who was being held back
from being a Harper, so she ran away to the Weyr."

"My sister's here, but other than that I don't get to see the rest of the
family much. Must be nice." He had Werenn, but that was different.

"Yes, it is." J'zen knew he was lucky, having been raised by his
mother and having Jayonne and Jaylene with him, and all of them very
close. "So what about the rest of your family? Do you ever see them?"
His hand trailed down E'rae's hair and lightly brushed his jaw and cheek.

"I go down to the Hold every now and again and see mother and a few
others, but father refuses to speak to me." He shrugged, having dealt with
that a long time ago.

"His loss then." He took a sip from his glass and watched E'rae over
the rim of it, wondering if he was planning on making any moves.

For once, the bluerider was thinking it would be interesting to see if the
greenrider would do anything. He hunted enough. This time, he wanted
to be chased.

J'zen watched him, and sighed. He didn't seem all that interested
and the greenrider wasn't the type to make the first move. He dropped
his hands to his glass, playing with the lip of it. Seeing the empty
one of E'rae's, he asked, "did you want a glass of wine? Or another
one of water?"

"I think I see your plan. Ply me with drinks till I get drowsy and have your
way with me hm?" He smiled, letting J'zen know he was teasing.

J'zen grinned back. "Ah yes, you weren't supposed to know that until
later. That closet over there is full of foolish lovers who let me do
the same thing to them. I was hoping to add you to the collection!"

"All you had to do was ask," he said simply.

"And what if I asked you to kiss me?"

In response, he leaned over and did just that. E'rae wasn't the most
suave, but he did have a certain allure due to his roughness.

"About bloody time," J'zen murmured as he leaned into the kiss.

In the back of his mind, E'rae was thinking that if the man had been so
impatient, he should have acted himself. When he was done, he pulled
back and just looked at J'zen.

The greenrider raised his eyebrows. "Yes?"

"Waiting to see if that was all you wanted," he answered simply.

"Could have been." He smiled at the bluerider. "What do you want, if
I may ask?"

"I'd be lying if I didn't say I wonder what you look like under those clothes."
His voice was even, merely speaking his mind.

J'zen's grin deepened. "Why don't you find out then?"

"It's more fun to watch usually," E'rae put out there. He was beginning to
tire of playing feline and rodent, wishing the greenrider would get down to
business instead of teasing.

"I thought you said you were a gentleman." E'rae was certainly a
change from the usual bluerider. By now most of them would have had
J'zen pinned down to the bed by now.

"Even gentlemen have their quirks." This one was starting to lose patience
though and it began to show in the small lines around his mouth. "But I know
we both have early days tomorrow so...." **In other words, if this show doesn't
start soon, I'm going to bed**

"So they do." J'zen stood up and, with a half smile, quietly took his
clothes off. He hoped E'rae liked what he saw.

The bluerider was indeed interested and began to perk up. "Remind me of
how good you are at kissing again?"

"Depends on what you want kissed."

"Ah well I think there's a spot about here.." He moved his head so that his neck
was exposed.

J'zen leaned into him and gently kissed his neck. "You planning on
getting naked too, or am I just going to sit here like a fool?" He
grinned and went back to caressing E'rae's neck with his lips,
moving slowly down to his chest and undoing the shirt.

E'rae was a veteran. As the greenrider paid attention to his neck, he helped him
get out of the clothes. When the bluerider was bare, he returned
J'zen's attentions.
Soon they were a tangle of arms and legs and he found himself getting
very interested.

That's all that J'zen needed. He stood and led E'rae to the bed and
pushed him down onto the edge of it.

Completely willing, the bluerider found himself pleasantly occupied
for the next few
candlemarks. E'rae finally found sleep, hearing Leith wish him goodnight.
