"Hi E'rae. Will you mind if I sit here?" Im're greeted and asked, nodding towards an empty seat across the older bluerider. He was carrying his meal tray and looking for company.

"Not at all. Haven't heard from you in awhile." It was an opening for Im're to let him know what was going on with him. E'rae continued to slowly eat from his own plate.

"The Queen's wing has a different schedule and me and Gormth have been busy exercising, trying to get back to fighting strength," Im're replied and took the seat. He used a moment to set his things around.

"I remember how that can be. I almost died from a score once," he shared, thinking over the memories. It brought Leith's mind more into his own as the dragon was curious as those odd feelings started to come through.

"So did we," Im're said, unconsciously rubbing his scarred palm. He was happy to discover that E'rae and he had more in common than the colour of their dragons.

"Yeah I know. I saw yours happen." He tried to get away from the somber reminder of just how mortal dragonriders were. ?But you?re still here and so am I. Met any nice women in the queens' wing eh?"

"No, not yet. I haven't really paid any attention to them in that way," Im're replied with a little blush coloring his cheeks.

?Ah well plenty of time to get into things. Me-I?m gaining another turn this month so I have to really be on the ball you know,? he said nonchalantly mentioning his coming birthingday.

"Oooh, you got a birthday coming? Are you going to have a party?" Im're asked, all intention to get himself invited. That of course meant he would have to get a present for him.

"Dunno. K'mai's in charge of plans." Of course that could mean a number of things might happen, probably not a lot of them good. E'rae wasn't worried though. He?d remember some of it when it was all over and that was enough.

"Oh, perhaps I should talk with him then," Im're mused. "Of what I know about him, it usually does mean a party."

"Oh I don't doubt that. I'll probably remember bits and pieces when it's all said and done." And that was how he liked it. He was young, why shouldn't he enjoy his life when he could?

"Well, those kind are the best ones. The morning after isn't so much fun," Im're said and chewed his greens.

"Not really no," he agreed with a smile. "It'll be the night before a restday though. We uhh...had that happen before and learned."

Im're chuckled. "Yes, I've been on those."

"You made any friends?" Of course E'rae knew sometimes it was easy to do so in weyrlinghood but he didn't know if Im're had done that.

"Some," Im're replied with a shrug.

"Well I'm sure I won't be threaded if I invite you to the party. Just see K'mai sometime for details. Maybe you can meet some folks." And anyway, there would be good food and entertainment to be had otherwise.

"All right, sounds great," Im're grinned. At least he would have some fun time to expect.
