Sophque

Sophque

As she had predicted, once he found his rhythm again it did not take him
long to finish with a long, satisfied groan. "Whew! That was good!" he
sighed contentedly as he rolled off her, expertly planting a foot on the
ground as he did so to keep him at least half on the bed next to her.
"Shards and shells I needed that."

The feeling that had been building in her faded away but she smiled
happily anyway. It had felt nice and he was happy which was half the
battle.

Inokin turned her face towards his so he could plant one more kiss on
her lips before rolling completely off. "Find me some clothes, will you
Kiki?" He grabbed his towel off the floor and ducked back behind the
curtain to dip the end of it into the tepid bathwater to scrub the
necessary parts.

She sighed when he went through the curtains and swung her feet over
the side of the bed. Opening the storage chest she pulled a clean set
of clothes out for him and placed it on the chair. "Inokin," she
called casually. "I was wondering if you'd have time to talk to the
Harper before you leave on your next voyage. He says he must have your
permission for me to borrow some books."

Oh for Faranth's sake, Inokin thought as he used the other side of the
towel to dry off a bit. He hadn't been off the boat for two candlemarks
yet and she already was finding things for him to do. "Can't I just
write him a note or something?"

How could she say that the man was just snooty and didn't believe
anything she said. Her shoulders sagged a little,"I suppose we could
try that." She hurried to throw her dress back over her head in case
he just left the door open on his way out. "But it would probably work
better if you could stop by."

He back through the curtain and started to get dressed once more.
"Well, write a note, I'll sign it tomorrow, and we'll see what he says.
If that's not good enough, I'll see him if I have time." After all,
there was a lot he wanted to do while he was home on leave!

She knew it would be bad to push it with him, so she just nodded
"alright." She watched him out of the corner of her eye as he dressed
and she picked up after him. Do you know when you'll be back?"

"I don't know," Inokin said with a shrug of his shoulders, both as a
gesture to accentuate his words as well as to slide the tunic over his
body. "But I'm sure I'll wake you up if your asleep. I apologize in
advance." It always seemed to be the way that a bit of alcohol only
made him want her more. She never refused his clumsy, drunken attempts
at exciting her passions, even when awoken from a deep sleep. At least,
not that he remembered.

A soft smile curved her lips even though she knew her already bruised
breasts would be manhandled again by his work roughened hands. He did
seem to delight in the dark prints of his fingers on her white flesh.
Not that he was intentionally cruel, just vigorous. She'd cook and
clean up after him as was her duty and if it meant she'd get some
books later, all the better. Keeping him happy was in her own best
interest after all. "Have fun," she said and went on tiptoe for a
kiss.

He returned the kiss with gusto, and if his friends weren't waiting for
him down at the tavern, he would have been tempted to throw her back on
the bed and take another turn, not doubting for a minute that she had
enjoyed the last one every bit as he had. But he knew it would be a
while before he'd be ready again, and a beer was calling his name.
Still, Inokin gave her rear end a double handed squeeze before letting
her go with a wink. "I'll see you later Kiki. Don't forget the
present."

"I won't," she said and continued to smile until he was gone from
sight. Suffice it to say the gift was not a book and therefore
unremarkable. Turns later, all she remembered was that fact.

Sophque's eyes had closed as she remembered her past and her hand
dropped beside her face as she drifted in and out of a light doze.

As her hand fell, unbeknownst to her, it tapped the Lord Holder's
shoulder and he, always the light sleeper, awoke with a start.

This snapped Sophque awake, "I'm sorry," she breathed.

"What time is it?" he asked in a cracked whisper. It didn't feel like
he had overslept.

"It's still early." She felt bad for waking him when it was so
difficult for him to get to sleep in the first place.

Morin could see the apology in her eyes when he turned his head to look
at her. It wasn't her fault he awoke so easily, and she already did so
much to help ease his mind and body into sleep in the first place.
"Good," he said, stretching his arm above his head so he could slip it
under hers. "Come here."

She rolled against him and her free hand caressed his chest. This was
the time she liked the best.

He brought her hand up to kiss the tip of each finger before turning to
brush his lips against her forehead. "I'm so happy you're here
tonight."

She smiled hugged him putting all her love in to the act. She made a
sound in her throat that was almost a purr. "Me too," she murmured and
meant every word.
