Sophque

Sophque

Morin stepped out of his bathing pool and wrapped the towel around his
waist. It was so sharding nice to feel clean again after spending the
last few days on humid, dusty roads on his tour of the Southern
holdings. He was feeling tired in body, but not in mind, as he stepped
out of his bathing chamber. "You were quick," he smiled when he saw his
mistress already was waiting for him.

A slow smile spread across her face and she tilted her head. "Do you
like it?"

As his eyes traveled down from her face, he quickly realized that was no
dress she was wearing. His head cocked to the side, a smile of his own
pulling at the corners of his lips. Morin was pretty sure the warmth he
was suddenly feeling traveling down his body had nothing to do with the
bath water. "That's definitely worth coming home to."

The look in his eyes made her blush a little but it was exactly what
she'd wanted to see. "Glad you like it," she turned for a full view of
both the front and the back.

It wrapped her body in such a way that it accentuated every contour, and
was thin enough that it gave just enough of a hint of what lay beneath
that his imagination could fill in the rest. And it was definitely
active and lively. He walked closer, reaching out to touch the cloth
with the tips of his fingers. So smooth. "Did you make this?"

She smiled "Yes," she said. She'd thought of it when she'd come across
the fabric just off one of the ships. It was usually used to make
ladies underthings but she loved the feel of it against her skin and
made a whole shift with a little ruching to flatter her figure.

"Your towel is rather flattering," she grinned.

"Thank you. I unfortunately did _not_ make it myself." His fingers
traced the seams along her side from under her arms down to her hips and
back. He also was enjoying the feel of the fabric under his skin. It
was new, which added an element of excitement. "You can have it, if you
like."

"Oh," she breathed and stepped closer with her lips very close but not
touching his. "I think I like that offer." Soft fingers pulled at the
fabric gently.

As she worked on his towel, his lips brushed against her cheek and down
to her neck, tickling her skin with his warm breath. Morin liked how
she seemed to be taking initiative. It made him feel like he had been
missed. Most people were a little relieved when the Lord Holder was
away. "I should go away more often if this is how you'll greet me."

She gave a throaty chuckle as she worked slowly at the towel. The
tease always seemed to heighten their pleasure. Sophque sighed at the
feel of his lips on her skin. She really did miss him when he was away
and these reunions were her chance to show him how much. "I do miss
you you know."

"Well, my feelings are not a secret, as you can tell," he said with a
twitch of his eyebrow. His fingers slipped under the straps of her
negligee , slowly sliding them down over her shoulders. "You are
constantly surprising me, Sophque. What a treasure you are."

"Ooooh, yes," she breathed as the towel fell away and she could see
the excitement her new gown had produced. "Why thank you My Lord," she
said as her shoulder moved to help him slip the garment lower.

He sucked in his breath as the sheer garment puddled around her ankles.
Pulling her close into his body he whispered challengingly, "What, no
kiss to welcome me home?"

"I'll kiss whatever you like," her eyes sparkled up at him. He'd
taught her some marvelous things and at times like this she was a
willing student.

His eyes burned in response. She really was quite an amazing woman, and
full of all sorts of delightful surprises. "Let's start with my lips,
and I'll let you go from there."

Oh yes she had missed him. Her breathing was rather heavy as she lay
against his side. "Welcome home," she said.

He lay with hands splayed on his torso. Under his fingers he could feel
his heart beat and breathing as they were slowly returning to normal.
"It's great to be home," Morin smiled, turning his head to look at her.
"That was _good_."

"Mmmhmm," she mused in agreement. "Would you like a drink? I brought a
tray." That wasn't all she'd brought but one thing at a time.

"Sure. I'll get it," he said rolling over just enough to plant one more
heated kiss on her lips. Morin was satisfied, for now, but he was
feeling sharding good. This night was definitely not over yet. He
hooked his robe off the back of a chair with his finger as he passed,
loosely tying it around his middle before passing out into the main
sitting room. His bags had been left there, waiting for the drudges to
unpack them in the morning. There were things he needed to take out
before prying eyes could find them, and now was as good a time as any.
"Are you hungry?" he called back, flipping open his smaller trunk.

"Yes," she called and lay back with a smile on her face. There weren't
many times in her life where anyone waited on her. It was most often
she who waited on others. But there were times when the Lord of the
Hold himself did just that. It was the small things that made her very
happy. She knew no one would understand why she felt the way she did
about the man but then they weren't in her shoes. She saw things in
him others never had the chance to see. She arranged herself
decoratively on the bed and waited.

Morin rang the bell for a drudge to come up to his room. It didn't take
long before there was a soft knock on his door. Wrapping the robe
tightly around himself once more, he placed his order. It would take
them a bit of time before they would bring the food, so he grabbed the
tray of drinks and tucked the neatly wrapped packages under his arm.
"Food is on the way."

As the food would come to the outer room Sophque didn't feel the need
to jump up and hide herself. "Thank you," she smiled. She was still
amazed how much she missed him when he was gone. Even though she was
freshly bedded that didn't matter. She still wanted him.

Coming back into the room, Morin couldn't help the smug little smile as
he paused to appreciate his handiwork. The sight of her slightly
disheveled, still glistening with a sheen of sweat, flushed and still
smoldering... What a picture she made. "Drinks," he said, setting the
tray down on the night stand. "And presents." Morin hitched a hip to
sit on the bed next to her, pulling out a small bundle from under his
arm.

Sophque never expected gifts but they delighted her when he gave them.
Her face lit up with pleasure at the little bundle, but her eyes
fairly glowed when she'd unwrapped it. "Ohhh," she breathed. "It's
lovely. Thank you!"

"I'm told there is enough cloth there to make an adult sized dress or a
two child size dresses. Or perhaps one of each. With Turns End coming,
I thought you might find some use for it." He had been assured that
while the richly colored red cloth was of the finest quality, it was not
so ornate that it would draw too much attention. "And of course, a
book. The Hold's Harper had set down some of their local legends into a
small volume I picked up for you. But you don't get to touch it just
yet." Morin set it over on the nightstand with a knowing smile. "If I
let you have it, you'll not look at me twice the rest of the night."

Sophque threw her head back laughing. He knew her so very well, yet
while she dearly loved books, she also knew she loved him more. She
set aside the beautiful red cloth with a loving touch on the soft
fabric. "Well come here then," she said and grabbed the front of his
robe.

He allowed himself to be pulled into her, his lips finding hers hungrily
as he reached into his robe pocket. "I have one more gift for you."

She smiled prettily up into his eyes. She didn't care about another
gift but she knew he liked to give her things and she wouldn't deny
him the pleasure. So her hand snaked into his pocket with his but she
probed in an inner direction for something else entirely. "You do,"
she asked wide eyed.

His kiss only deepened as he allowed her to take the initiative for a
few moments before reluctantly pulling his hand out of his pocket along
with hers. Leaning back, he took her hand and turned it over so he
could fasten onto her wrist a bracelet that was neither gaudy nor
humble. It was dainty and beautiful, but one had only to look at the
sparkling gem stones and the metal it was set into to know that it was a
work of rare quality and high expense.

"Oh my," was all she could think to say. "It's too much..." she
protested softly. She had no idea how she could possibly wear it
anywhere but right here. Her eyes got a little misty and she blinked
back the threatening tears. She knew he didn't like tears. "Thank
you," she said in a rather small voice.

"I know you may only be able to wear it for me now," he said, his face a
little more serious than a moment ago. "But keep it safe. There may
come a day when you will have use for it." Morin had never openly
acknowledged either her or their child, nor did he have any intention of
bringing any attention to them by adding them to his will. If anything
should happen to him, if he could no longer provide for them, he wanted
to be sure they were never left wholly unprotected. This was just a
start.

"Okay," she smiled. **Of course he would plan ahead,** she thought.
Inokin had never planned for her beyond his own immediate needs and
that was why she'd found herself in dire straights when he hadn't
returned from his final voyage.

"Thank you," she said again and this time with more feeling.

He nodded, knowing there was no more that needed to be said. And when
words were not necessary, he preferred not to waste them. Instead he
untied the belt to his robe and let it conceal the both of them as he
covered her with his body. He kissed her with a soft passion that he
knew inevitably would grow into something much deeper, just as their
relationship had done.
