Characters: B'drin, U'das
Description: B'drin meets U'das and Lumyth gets to talk to a big dragon.
Location: River Bluff Weyr
Date: month 9, day 18 of Turn 3

B'drin was in the weyr bowl with his Lumyth and noticed a rider as he landed. He loved to watch the riders and couldn't wait to be in the air. He was one of those people others seemed to forget was there. He had been there a while and had finally been able to impress. He waved a hello as the
rider dismounted.

U'das answered the wave even if he didn't recognize who it was.
"That was a good flight, old boy," he said and rubbed Zack's eyeridge.

B'drin smiled and decided to walk over and talk. "Hello, I am B'drin. I am unsure, Have we met?" He knew they hadn't in his whole turn at the weyr, but he figured it couldn't hurt to pretend that they might have. It helped start a conversation anyway.

"I'm not sure, this place has so many people," U'das inspected the boy's face. "Don't you work in the kitchens? And impressed at the last hatching?"

"On occasion. I love working in there and I am a pretty good cook." he smiled.

U'das nodded. "Thought so," he murmured.

"I am B'drin and this is Lumyth." He offered a hand after motioning to his young brown.

"U'das, rider of Zackariath. Congratulations, you two," the bronzerider answered and shook the hand.

"I am glad to meet you. He is a fine bronze." He gave the bronze an admiring look.

"Yes he is. Even if he has had some rough time lately. See the scars in his wing?"

"Yes." He said as he noted the scars.

"We had a Thread clump go thru there, almost a turn ago and he's only now starting to be ready to be back in the Fighting wing."

"I bet he is ready to get back to it." He smiled at the large bronze.

"Impatient, I think is the word," the older rider chuckled.

}:What is Impatient:{ asked Lumyth of his rider.

**Means he can't wait** He answered. Lumyth got quiet as he pondered the answer. "You'll be glad you waited." B'drin remarked to the bronze.

Zack was more interested in the brown dragonet than in his his rider. U'das watched him bend his head to sniff the brown. }: Hello, little one. :{

}:Hello. Your big.:{ He stated.

}: You will be big too one day :{ Zack answered. Actually he was rather small for bronze, about a size of a brown.

}:Will I?:{ he asked. }:I want to be big. Then I could fly with B'drin and we could have fun. Do you like to fly?:{

}: Yes, I love to fly. We're made to fly. :{ Zack answered.

"Well, those two seem to get along fine," U'das chuckled.

"Lumyth seems to enjoy being around other dragons. It's strange to hear him in my head and he loves to ask questions."

"You get used to it pretty soon. Then, you will feel strange if you don't hear and feel him in your head."

"I don't ever want to not feel him." He shuddered at the thought.

"I hope neither one of us ever feels that," U'das said and patted the boy's shoulder.

B'drin smiled as he looked up to the large bronze. "Yes lets hope that never happens."
