As Yriadha approached Bryvin's door, no one would have been able to
tell that the headwoman was particularly looking forward to the
meeting with the new Lord Holder. Her face was cool and polite as she
rapped on the door, and the eyes that had followed her turned away
with disinterest. As she was summoned, she opened the door and stepped
in, closing it firmly behind her.
Yriadha dropped into a curtsey, her cool voice smooth. "My Lord asked for
me?"
"Yes Yriadha," he nodded. "I have a few things actually. Please have a
seat." He himself sat behind his desk and then pushed a hide across in
her direction. "We're on the hunt for a new Steward but I'd like
quarters prepared for him whoever that may be. Also for my bride, who
will be of course housed in the master suite but in her own bedroom."
She sat and dutifully picked up the hide. "I'll house the new Steward
in your old quarters. They're still open and have been cleaned and
refit." She looked up at the mention of a bride, and nodded. "Of
course. Is there anything in particular that you think she would like
it decorated in?"
Bryvin thought back to the lovely blond hair and the delicate pink of
her skin. The young woman he'd met so long ago had burned a place in
his mind. "Pink I think," he nodded. "And flowers, I think she liked
flowers." He'd met her in his travels. The part he never talked about
and the memory brought a small smile to his lips.
"May I suggest perhaps pink accents?" Yriadha mused. "Something for a
young girl becoming a woman?" It was no problem getting flowers; the
hold had several different types that a young woman might enjoy.
There was also some opulent bedding to be had and lush decorations
that might suit her.
"Yes," he said with an enigmatic smile. He remembered the very day,
hour, and minute she'd become a woman in his arms. What a woman she
was. He'd promised he'd make something of himself and marry her and
now finally after all these turns he would do exactly that. "I don't
know how many ladies she'll be bringing with her but we should have
several rooms prepared."
"Of course. There were rooms left empty should Lord Morin have wed and
brought in a wife. I was always prepared for that." Yriadha inclined
her head. "I shall air them out and place clean bedding. " She pursed
her lower lip. "Shall you be wed here or at her parent's estate?"
"It is her father's wish for us to be married from Turquoise Bay," he
said. "So I've arranged for transportation with your son-in-law."
Yriadha nodded briefly. "I do hope he didn't charge you too much for
the use of the ship." She examined the hide further. "Is there
anything you want prepared specifically for your journey there, my
Lord?"
"We've reached an equitable agreement," Bryvin nodded. "He has a clear
understanding of my needs and his benefits involved in our
transactions." He smiled slightly at his headwoman. "Somewhat like we
do," he stood and walked around his desk.
"I _would_ like Danrina moved into the room directly above mine," he
added looking down at the Headwoman. She was fully aware of his
large... appetite.
Both brows rose. "Danrina, hm?" One lip curled upwards in response.
"Is she aware of your intentions?" Her eyes lowered to his waist and
then lower down.
"Not yet," he smiled. "She's still an innocent." He watched her eyes
dip with a knowing smile. Yriadha was not an innocent and she knew
ways to please a man's needs. "In the meantime..." he added
suggestively.
She rose, setting aside her hides to face him, her voice a purr. "In
the meantime, you want someone who knows what they are doing." She
faced him, unlacing his trousers with practiced ease and slipped her
hand inside. "Someone...experienced."
"We understand each other so well," he said and pulled her against him.
