Dragonsfall has seen a lot of changes lately. The lack of gold dragons rising had left the Weyrlingmaster without any weyrlings to train and the candidates without eggs to Impress. In an effort to give the older candidates a chance to Impress, the Weyrlingmaster coordinated with Dolphin Cove and River Bluff to allow the older candidates to stand at their Hatchings.

In month 5, the Weyr was suprised when Kapera's Riyanth was the first gold to rise to mate. Her clutch of eggs recently hatched on m7d11 giving the Weyr much needed weyrlings. Many of the newer candidates were nervous about the upcoming hatching and sought the advice of riders such as Wingleader U'kaih and the more experienced candidates.

M'delon and Ch'lis buy a flit egg for their friend Enrad to help ease the pain of his not Impressing. Enrad impresses a brown firelizard whom he names Mal. Ch'lis impresses a green flit whom he names Mare.

N'vanik and U'kaiah discuss the changes over the past turn and N'vanik learns of the Wingleader's renewed relationship with Traelyn, Weyrwoman of Dolphin Cove.

Birigundi talks with E'naer about not Impressing yet again and how he feels about his daughter's mother Nia not wanting to see him because of his getting another girl pregnant.

Aileyan tries to climb a tree and falls. Telemon examines her and decides that only her ribs are broken. However, that means that she wouldn't be able to fly until her ribs healed. U'kaiah regrets losing her and remarks that he'd never lost a rider to a tree.
