This last month has seen a lot of things. The Weyr was home to the Senior queen of Dolphin Cove and her clutch until the eggs had hardened enough to return home. While here at Dragonsfall, Traelyn and U'kaiah spent time together most every day. She napped on his couch while he finished up wingleader hidework. She receives a message that the Sands were almost dried out so that the eggs could be moved back. U'kaiah lets her know that he won't give up on her and their relationship when she expresses her dread at having to leave him.
Talryne and Traelyn have a short conversation when Trae stops in to find something she left at N'vanik's weyr. The two women talk about N'vanik and Trae tells Talryne that she and the bronzerider aren't close as they used to be. Talryne tells N'vanik that Traelyn had stopped by and she tells him of her decision to apprentice to the Weavercraft.
J'darin comes to visit Traelyn and tells her of his decision to lower the age limit of the fighting wings to 15. She reassures him that he did the right thing. He wonders if their dragons talk about them where they can't hear.
B'ram also visits Traelyn after she left U'kaiah sleeping in his weyr while she was in the hatching grounds. He came to bring her some belongings that had been salvaged from her weyr and because he just had to see her again. They sent to her weyr and her body gave into B'ram's advances despite her desire not to do so for U'kaiah's sake. Traelyn can't seem to keep her mind on U'kaiah while they are together on their last night together as her thoughts keep going back to her night with B'ram and the guilt she feels for letting him do it. She battles with herself as she tries to decide who she wants more B'ram or U'kaiah. They end up in a fight as U'kaiah can tell that she's not herself.
Kiala returns from the hatching at Dolphin Cove and tells Teseada about it. The goldrider offers to come and see her at River Bluff's hatching as well as bring Kiala's father if he wanted to go.
Birigundi walks in on the harper putting up his portrait that Nialyn was having done of Lyndi as a suprise for him. He asks the harper to put Nialyn in the picture as well and tell her it was his idea so that she didn't know that Birigundi knew about the comission.
Taia has a conversation with Drisha that sets her to thinking about her own family and further discussion of that topic with Drina has her planning to visit the headwoman about the location of her father. She shows Corder who she gave the last pup of the litter to after he demands to know what's gotten into her since she was acting strange. R'haran stops to talk to Taia when he goes to see if Corder is available. They talk about him settling into his new position as Weyrharper and how the children like it. He remarks how he is going back to the life he had before Thread returned.
Talryne shows N'vanik her new apprentice weaver knots and they go out to have a picnic and swim at a place the bronzerider knows.
J'nus brings Kapera a box that he had cleaned up from his trip to Cairn Hold as a thank you for her help in locating the records. Their discussion leads to her learning that J'nus was from a Trader caravan and remembers that she left her hold with a Trader caravan then went to the Weyr.
N'klar and A'zuka play cards and drink wine after dinner. Teseada sees Y'nub with Hanni and tells D'nev about the bet that the bronzerider had that his bronze could win Onnyth's flight because she liked him. S'rak gets a little upset seeing the greenrider with Y'nub as well. Teseada runs into Y'nub and his friend who proceed to be mean to her causing her to run away in tears. She talks to Karri about the incident and they scheme about ways to get back at the men.
U'kaiah and D'wrayt await news on the condition of Arilanna and her baby. Shedia comes out to inform them that the baby is a boy, but that Arilanna hasn't woken up and not to expect much. D'wrayt wants to see them both and worries that he was going to lose yet another loved one.
