The Weyrleaders would like to announce that a new Weyrlingmaster has been named and thank T'mahl for agreeing to take over the weyrling wing.
The Weyrwoman Second, Kapera, fpund out that not all bronzeriders are interested in flirting with the goldriders when she encountered K'ran in the dining room.
Talryne has moved out of N'vanik's weyr and into one of her own. During the process of unpacking, they ran across a romantic book that Tal liked to read when she was having a bad day. N'vanik decided that he wanted to read it and a very light hearted struggle ensued that left them out of breath and laughing. He had never seen her so alive since the loss of her dragon. Unable to sleep one night, N'vanik goes to check up on Talryne and ends up staying the night at her weyr.
Kenza stops by to see how N'vanik is doing now that Talryne has moved out of his weyr. He admits to her that he might be too attached to Talryne. She tells him that he deserves to be happy.
When U'kaiah returns to Cyan as wingleader, N'vanik initiates a tentative peace after they discuss some of what happened between them that caused the loss of the wing for U'kaiah in the first place.
Nialyn and Birigundi are experiencing the ups and downs of parenting when baby Lyndi calms down only when Biri holds her. He reassures Nialyn that it isn't her fault that the baby fusses and encourages her to sleep while he watches the baby.
Demalia learns from Weyrlingmaster T'mahl that she will be transfering to the Weyrleader's wing to put her talent and leadership skills to good use.
Due to the death of a family member, greenrider R'haran inherited some children quite unexpectedly. What will he do with them?
