Reports for Dolphin Hall

June 2nd 2009

Early in month 2 Senior Apprentice Ednan and Senior Journeywoman Trellyn manage to catch a moment to talk - the first since Trellyn aborted their baby /between/. Although Ednan doesn't know anything about the baby and is quite upbeat about his chances for promotion, Trellyn is not so optimistic.

Mid month 2 the Hallmaster replies to the former Hallmaster's letter, with information, advice, and few admonitions that she just couldn't resist. After all, Mosler is supposed to be so ill he can't act as her Hallsecond and yet he's away somewhere, investigating the death of one of the Hall's journeymen under suspicious circumstances.

On day 18 of the month the dolphineers are involved in the rescue of a ship in trouble on a rocky island far from shore. Among those setting out to the Weyr to be transported to the location by dragons and their riders are Mahantan, Jaimon, Hantala, Leisenn, Alydelle, Ednan, Yara, Chalzie, Trellyn. Apparently the dolphineers have adapted to living next door to a Weyr and are starting to see the advantages of a good relationship with the weryfolk.

ON the last Threadfall day of the month Hallmaster Leisenn talks to Apprentice Westni while the girl waits to operate the siren that warns that Thread is directly overhead the Hall. It's a coveted job among the apprentices and it might just be that the Hallmaster wouldn't mind giving the task a try herself, sometime.

The Hall has nearly a full complement of open rank positions filled, though it would be nice to have in the 'dock master' role. This doesn't need to carry any rank (if the incumbent is a journeyman or woman) and would be a great spot for a seacrafter with a dolphineer or dragonrider partner. Worth thinking about, anyway.
