Ferlian smiled as he saw a fellow candidate someone else to feed.
Frankly the guy looked like he needed it. "Would you like to try one of my pastries?" he asked politly, with his usual smile.

"Pastries?" Reymer asked. Shards, he had bought pastries at Gathers before, but no one had ever offered him one. Especially not a total stranger. "How much?"

"How much?" Ferlain laughed. "I'm a bakercraft apprentice. This is practice. I don't charge people for my parctice items."

"Practice, huh?" It smelled like the real thing to Reymer! "All right.
I'll let you practice on me."

Ferlain grinned, setting the tray down on the table. "This ones a mix of berries, this one is fruits and these two are sweet fillings." He pointed the various items. "Which one should I try?" Reymer asked, his mouth water at just the smell of them all.

"Personally, I like berries the best."

"Yeah, berries sound good." Reymer looked up at the boy questioningly as he took the pastrie in hand. "Can I eat it now?"

"Please do, tell me what you think, so I figureout what I need to change."

He bit into the soft flaky treat and was surprised at the flavors that flooded his mouth. "You're an _apprentice_?" he asked as he chewed. It was the best thing he had ever tasted in his life!

"Well, senior apprentice. I liek baking and I did tell you that the berries where the best." he was glad the other candidte like the pastrie.

Reymer was silent as he hungrily devoured the rest of the tasty treat. He licked sugar and berry juice from his fingers. Their gather cooks needed _his_ recipe!

"So? What do you think? He bounced slightly in his seat.

"That was the sharding best thing I have ever tasted in my life," Reymer sighed, a bit sad that it was now gone.

Ferlian laughed. "That has to be the most postive response I have ever recived."

"Well, I didn't get treats like that much." Reymer looked a little embarred to admit it.

"I'm sure I can do something about that. I tend to bake _alot_ and someone who likes my baking may find himself with more than he can eat."

Reymer eyed the other pastries hungrily. "So... Did you want me to try another one for you?"

"If you'd like." Ferlian was glad to see the other candidte eating, he was a little too thin. "Chosse away."

"Well.... What's inside this one?" Reymer asked, pointing to the one on the other end.

"Thats a a sweet filling. I'm not sure about the recipie so tell what you think needs to be changed."

Reymer bit into it and chewed slowly and thoughtfully, considering the question carefully. But really, how would _he_ know what a recipe would need! "Is that klah flavoring in there?"

"Yes, did I make it too strong? The recipe is old, my master hadn't seen it in years."

"Actually, I think I would like it stronger. Not that I don't like it,"
Reymer quickly added. "It's very good! I really like it. It's just what I think..." He surly didn't think he had any place to tell Ferlian how do his craft and he suddenly felt nervous that he had offended the boy.

"Ok, more klah. Gotcha." he smiled.

"But it's not as if it weren't absolutely delicious this way too,"
Reymer quickly reiterated.

"It's ok, I did ask for you ideas. Belive me my master is much more critical." He laughed, but in a friendly way.

"Well, I think they're wonderful." In fact, Reymer was beginning to wonder what was inside the other sweet-filling one. But he knew two was probably enough.

"If you could tell my master that..."
