Tavia

Tavia

X'amor walked to a chearful beat as he made his way to the infermary. He thought he would surprise Tavia with some flowers that he found in the forest near the beaches. They were small blossoms the color of the softest cloud, but the thing that reminded him of Tavia was the pale green that was at the very tips of the petals, the same color as her eyes. They smelled refreshing and soothing, he hoped she would like them. He saw her tending to a patient as he walked into the main room of the infermary so he stood there awkwardly until she noticed him.

"All right Ferliane, I want you to be careful. No more rock climbing." she chided the candidate. "Go eat and leave me in peace."

"Yes healer." The boy repiled with a grin. He ran out the door past the bluerider.

Tavia turned smiling after the candidate. Then she saw X'amor and her smile widdened. "Hello X'amor, how are you?"

X'amor smiled broadly in return. "I just brought you a little something," he pulled the flowers from behind his back and gave them to her, "The green on the petals reminded me of your eyes." He blushed deeply at how silly he sounded.

Tavia's eyes went wide, she turned red. "Thank you X'amor! They're beautiful."

X'amor leaned towards her, "Not as beautiful as you." he whispered in her ear. Leaning back he relaxed his composure and asked her in a normal voice, "When are you done here?" his eyes flashed mischeviously.

"Now, that was my last troublemaker for the day." she tried hard to to blush, she'd never considered herself beautiful.

"Would you like to have dinner with me? And then maybe we could have some wine at my weyr?" he smiled and then hesitated, thinking he was being to presumptuos. "That is, unless you're too tired from working." he hoped she wasn't he had missed her the past couple of days and wanted to be able to spend an evening with her.

"I'd love too X'amor."

He perked up and smiled broadly, "Great!" taking her by the waist he energetically escorted her to the dinning hall where he filled up two plates with the food that was set out and led her to a small table near by.

"How was work today? I've seen that rascal you were tending to, playing around and I hope he was the worst of your patients today." he smiled playfully hoping he could get her to be playful back with out her trying to fight it. She could be too withdrawn sometimes.

"This time it was just a scrap, last time he came in with a pretty nasty burn" she told. "IT was a light day though. No riders thank Farneth." she smiled. "When is your birthingday?" he asked conversationaly. "I heard that you had one coming up soon."

"Oh, a few days. Who told you?"

"Oh, Aletta mentioned it the other day." He became worried, "Is it bad that I asked? I mean I just wanted to see if you wanted to have diner that night."

"I'd love too." she srugged. "I don't mind her telling you, she seems to be very intrested in my life at the moment. Need to get that girl back on track."

"And what track might that be?" "Healing, she's become more dedicated scince she impressed but she wandering again. If it's not _my_ life, it's that harper boy."

"Ah, yes we harpers can be quite a nuisance." He put on an air ofsincerity before breaking out into a smile, trying to lighten the mood. "That you can." she laughed. "Although the true nuisance is her whining about him." she shrugged. "You can't change some people X'amor, I've learned that at least."

He nodded, knowing how often people had tried to change him when he hadn't been ready. Well having Tavia helped, he had surprised himself a few times lately when he got himself envolved in a conversasion with people he barely knew, something he would have never done before he met Tavia. "This is true but you can set an example, show her how to deal with life, really that's all you _can_ do."

"I'm hoping she'll out grow it. Her Farsith has."

"Ah but interestingly enough dragons and their riders can be different in many ways. But speaking of dragons how is Sawauth? She's all Calodith talks about but I think he is far more baised than a healer, even if you are her rider." He found their previous conversasion interesting but felt it was getting too tense for his liking. "She's wonderful as usual, she should be rising soon so that should account for his intrest." she smiled.

X'amor felt his face flushing but couldn't stop it so he hoped she didn't notice and continued on, "Yes, he has mentioned that a few times recently."
He was quiet for a few moments and before he could stop himself he asked, "Who do you want her to catch?" "I don't know X'amor, she's a mind of her own when she flies, I've just let things go as they will in the past."

He nodded, "So she's never chosen her mate in consideration of who _you_
would like to be with?" he wanted to know the likelihood of Sawauth letting Calodith catch her. "I've never liked anyone enough to try it."

X'amor blushed wondering if Tavia liked _him_ enough.
