Kailis

Kailis

Kailis watched each egg as it hatched. Consequently, because many hatched at or near the same time, she lost sight of the dragons as they toddled off to find their riders. Did hatchling dragons toddle? Hatchle... Something.

But one of the dragons hatchled so quickly Kailis did not even have time to glance at the next hatching egg. She had already hatchled all the way to her feet.

"Her name is Chordath!" The words jumped out of her mouth, almost unbidden. But the world needed to know. Nothing about her was visually striking, but everything about her was fascinating. And she knew it all, just as well as she knew herself, all at once. Chief among the things she now knew was, this perfect little thing was positively starving.

}:It is good of you to notice, Kailis. But perhaps we might do something about it.:{

As they spoke, Kailis led Chordath along after the others who had Impressed ahead of her toward the food.

And so, Kailis dutifully and happily sated Chordath's hunger one meat hunk at a time, mostly unaware of all those others around her.
