Sh'dori saw the girl struggling with a heavy laundry basket. A candidate, on her chores, the brownrider guessed, based on her knots. He quickened his pace, the basket looked like it was about to fall. He was just in time to catch and support it, before it's content would have been spilled to the ground. "Here, wouldn't be good to have to wash it all again," he said with a friendly voice. "Tank you." She said with a small smile. "The person that was helping skipped out on me. I thought I could carry it al on my own but..." She shook her head. Sh'dori clucked his tongue disapprovingly. "What a scoundrel that one was! A pretty, little lass like you shouldn't be left alone to struggle with such a burden." To the brownrider, flirting was a habit. He took the basket from her. He was big, strong man. "Where were you taking this?" "To the barracks." "All right, let's go then. I'm Sh'dori, brown Rahmuth's rider and you are?" the brownrider said and asked. He would had extended his hand but it was holding the basket.

"I'm Aidiata." she gave him a small smile. "I'm a candidate." "I figured that much out. Where do you come from?" the big brownrider kept up a jovial small talk.

"A nice little farm close to Emerald falls. we had several families working it. My grandparents raised me. My uncle lived on the farm to with his family." she said conversationally "Your grandparents raised you? What happened to your parents then? Unless it's a too painful subject. I don't want to pry," Sh'dori asked and added apologetically.

"It's alright. I don't remember much about them. I was really young when they died. Gramps and Grams never really tlaked about it much. I never thought about it. I had my Grandparents to look after me." She smiled as she thought of her Grams. "Grams was always the practical one. She never wasted a moment of any day. If you had a moment then there was work somewhere that wasn't being done."

"I've know people like her. Personally, I'm more like, if you don't have to do it now, don't do it- type." Aidiata chuckled softly, "She would have hung you by your ears while making you peel tubars. No one left off chores back home."

Sh'dori chuckled at the thought. "Glad I'm not living in a same hold with her then." "I wish she was here to make my chore partner do their job, or give her extra chores." "Let the Headwoman know," Sh'dori suggested "..and she will take care of your partner." "I never thought of that. I just thought it was something that was done to new people. You know, the 'I've been here longer, I can get away with it'?"
she sighed.

Sh'dori shook his head. "The Headwoman doesn't let anybody get away with it, not matter how long they been here."

"I've only met her the once really. When I got here. Perhaps I'll go to see her then." She opened the door to the barracks. "In here please, and thank you very much for the help."

"You're welcome, lass. I'm always willing to give a hand to a pretty girl." Aidiata smiled, "Perhaps i shall see you around then." She said as she show him out again.
