V'tian yawned awake, slowly, stretching. **Indith?**
}:He flew _very_ well.:{ Indith hummed, pleased.
Ç’pier’s eyes shot open.
**Why, why, whyyy, Yuli? Why chase that one?**
}:I did not mean to stir up trouble…:{
Maybe if he was very careful, Ç’pier could slink away before V’tian noticed he was still there…
“... You.” V'tian eyed him when the brownrider's eyes opened. A brief consideration, but it's _definitely_ Indith's smug pleasure that keeps him where he is. Not the lingering warmth _he_ felt from Indith's flight.
“... At least you're not R'lor.” The younger rider huffed, and yawned. “... Indith's happy.”
Well, that was a much better reaction than Ç’pier had feared.
“A ringing endorsement,” he said. “Are you all right? Everything still where it belongs?”
V'tian snorted. “... Well. It _is_.” He responded. “Though it's certainly something I'll remember.” He added, and stretched. “Hn. I'm fine.” He added. “... You?”
Oh? Something to remember? That could have more than one connotation. Just ask Saedyna.
“Oh, I'm fine,” said Ç’pier. “Seems like you listened to… well, R’lor, when it comes to practicing for this.”
“... Yeah.” V'tian responded, after a moment. “I did. I mean, it's _not_ weird!” He flared. “Indith's gonna do this the rest of her _life_, so…”
“No, it's not weird at all,” said Ç’pier. “You did great.” He was not trying to make things difficult for anyone. At this point in his life, he was invested in making things easier.
“Look, I know I was a shithead before. But Yuliuth is making me better, yeah? You understand that, right? Wanting to be what your dragon needs you to be? I'm not here to make things harder for you. This is just where he wanted us to be-- me and him.”
“Yeah. I… know all about that.” V'tian huffed. “... About doing things for your dragon's sake, I mean.”
A pause, and then he added, “I… remember hearing something about you, yeah. But honestly? Right now? I don't actually care. Yuliuth caught Indith, and she's no objection, so I don't. I mean, she's the one whose opinion matters.”
“Does that mean you want round two?” Ç’pier was not sure he could manage to make that happen. At least not before V’tian had another Turn or two under his belt.
V'tian slanted a _look_ his way. “Are you _offering_?” He responded archly. “The Flight is over. And everyone says what happens doesn't _really_… well. Flightroom stuff.”
“Heh. I don't know. How old are you?” This was turning out to be a fairly weird day. But he would not be Ç’pier’s first fight partner to decide that having another go in the flight room did not count.
V'tian briefly considered lying. Then shrugged. “Seventeen, soon.” He huffed. “I'm not a _Weyrling_.”
At least he was old enough to fight Thread. Ç’pier supposed that was old enough to decide about having sex… But it still felt a little off. That was probably because V’tian had spent so long pretending he was not at all interested in men.
“No, I guess not. Did you ever get around to doing anything like this outside of Indith’s flights?”
V'tian slanted him a vaguely annoyed look. “Well, yeah.” He responded. “I'm not an _idiot_. … Before Indith's first flight.“
“Of course not. You know, I’ve never been one to look some gift tail in the mouth,” said Ç’pier. “And you’ve clearly done some growing. Was I that good the first time, then?” He grinned.
“Mn. Half of that was _Indith_.” V'tian responded. Then eyed C'pier. “So… why don't you show me again, brownrider?”
“How do you want this to go down, then, hm-- now that it's all you? What have you been thinkin’ about when you're taking care of your own business, imagining you wish you could do?” Ç’pier kept his voice low, quiet but with a spicy edge, goading, encouraging.
“Well.” V'tian responded, and eyed him once more, considered. “Why don't we start with kissing?”
