O'rosin

O'rosin

Digger alerted Aeoluth that he was needed. It didn't take much, really, just him appearing and making enough noise to catch the much bigger brown's attention. He usually knew that it meant that Cirina wanted him, but sometimes he thought it was time to play (chase), and the firelizard returned back to his owner upset with a fully-grown dragon barrelling after him.

And that was exactly what Cirina was met with when Aeoluth skidded to a halt before her in the weyrbowl.

Digger barreled directly into his owner’s chest, before turning around and chittering at the much larger brown from the safety of Cirina’s arms, puffing his chest out while he scolded the brown for confusing an important mission with tag time.

Cirina ignored the indignant chirping of her pet, greeting happily, “Good morning, Aeoluth. Were you busy? I was hoping for a ride down to the Dolphin Hall. I only have an hour for lunch but I promised Oriene…” She stepped forward to offer chin scratches, “If O’rosin needs you that’s fine, though.”

She didn’t expect a response, exactly, but she’d never had much trouble communicating with the brown, even if he rarely ever spoke to her. “And you shouldn’t land that hard, you’ll hurt your poor little toes.” As if they weren’t nearly the size of her.

Aeoluth happily accepted the scratches and then shook his big, blocky head. O'rosin didn't need him-- he was back in their seaside weyr, focused really intently on the almost-finished thing he was making R'fayne. That he was essentially stranded on the oceanside alcove was not a thought that passed through his mind. He paced around her like a canine before lowering himself down to the polite height, offering her a foreleg to help climb aboard. He liked flying to the Dolphin Hall. It was just a quick glide, and maybe he could get the dolphins to play with him in the water.

“Such a perfect gentleman,” Cirina said sincerely as she climbed up the offered leg, “don't you listen to O’rosin when he says anything different. Let's go visit the dolphins.”

The Dolphin Hall was a short walk, but an even shorter flight, and Cirina was sliding down the brown’s shoulder before he had a chance to lower himself down. “There. I won't be long, just a quick lunch with Oriene before afternoon lessons. We have a new batch of candidates in so we're having classes again,” she wrinkled her nose. “Why don't you go see if the dolphins want to play? Some of them love the dragons.” She gave the brown an affectionate pat on the nose before scurrying inside for her lunch date.

Aeoluth huffed in sympathy. He watched her until she was safely indoors with her friends before looking back towards the Weyr. }: Kularth, Cirina is going to be late for class. We are running errands at the Dolphin Hall. She already knows everything, anyway. :{

O'rosin looked up then. "We're doing _what_?" He asked to his empty weyr.

}: I didn't say you and I. :{ Aeoluth answered. }: Cirina and I are out. I'll be back later.:{

**What if I need to leave?**

}: I'll call Skadith. :{

Inside, Cirina settled down for a quick lunch with her friend, blissfully unaware of any trouble her ride was stirring up.
